What does it look like to pray boldly? Even more so, what does it look like to be put into a situation where you have no other option but to trust God to do the impossible? Doesn't your heart bleed to want to be in a battle like that with the Lord? Elijah's was...

The Spirit was stirring on this one. Are we as a nation in the midst of revival? What does the Bible say? You better pay attention to every individual word especially in the so-called "boring" verses that we so easily skip over in our reading.

What is your heart reaction when trials come in your lives? Okay, now that you know how you should answer, ask how you genuinely react when trials come your way, and then tune in to hear how Paul and Silas responded. If we're only thankful when things go our way, we're missing the point of unconditional gratitude.

The core rule that highlights the questions "What does the Bible say?", "What is God teaching?", and "How does this apply to my life right now?". Plus, we FINALLY get to apply all 4 rules to Hebrews 6:4-6.

The first 3 weeks focused on why and how to pray . Now we shift gears to look at examples of prayer in scripture. The defining trait for our 3 examples is simply earnestness. This will help us fight praying as a routine.

If God operated differently in the Old Testament than he did in the New Testament, is it not possible that there's more than one way he operated differently throughout the Bible? Download the study sheet in the link above and challenge yourself on some passages of scripture wrongly dissected by Christians today.

Not all of the Bible is about you, Monica! ( apologies to anyone named Monica ) But seriously, you need to know who the intended audience is for any given passage, and it's not always the church. The students tried their hand at figuring out Acts 2:4 & Matthew 24:13...you should too!

We finish out our template on prayer by walking through the rest of the tabernacle. The question now remains - are you prepared to see prayer as more about God than it is your "list of demands"?

Our Sr High missions trip to Calgary ignited a fire in our ministry for prayer. With school starting this week, we began this miniseries to add fuel to the fire to keep us S hining O ur L ight I n D arkness! This intro serves as the "why" behind prayer...and it must go beyond the elementary "because God told us to".

Andy gives what many believe to be his best message as it caps off his trilogy of messages from this summer. This heartfelt message centers on the focus we need to have prior to entering school.

Andy brings a very sobering message on the need to flush out our minds of the daily junk that clutters it. We can see the need, but the question is will we do something about it every day?

7/27/25 - Before the Canada team comes home, "The Prodigal" returns to the Sr High ;) Rick comes back to a brand new Sr High to deliver a message on Josiah, the culture that likely challenged him, and how that culture is very similar to the challenging environment that our youth face right now.

7/23/25 - This message explores what it means to biblically defend the Christian faith based upon Jude 3. Learn why it's vital and be encouraged to grow deeper in God's word and stand boldly, yet humbly, for the gospel.

7/20/25 - While the team is out in Canada, Sam dives into 7 keys from Joshua 1 for us to have victory in bringing God glory in the Sr High and how to best prepare to do the same in adulthood.

Promotion Sunday brings a lot of changes, and I can't think of a better time to introduce (and re-introduce) who we are and what we stand for. As we cover the basics of our ministry, this year's message comes with a little history lesson as to how SOLID came to be...
