Happy Father's Day Playing basketball outside @ Scurlock Elementary School court in Raeford, NC.   My brother and I playing against 2 country boys, on a court with no lines and sandy as ever.  It was 'Awfully Good'  smh Let's talk about it.

Happy Father's Day I'm early but I wanted to honor my dad in heaven with a story I've been thinking about. My brother and I were playing basketball til about 11 p.m. but our father didn't know we were okay. What a night. Let's talk about it

5:30 a.m. on the track? I gotta schedule my classes from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.? Practice for 3-4 hours? Then go to study hall for 2 hours? And do it again tomorrow? The life a student-athlete 

Did one of my summer camp kids just jump off the high dive? Into 15 feet? And he can't swim? We just got here and it hasn't been 5 minutes and the lifeguards are bringing him to the front lifeguard station where I just finished paying ? You can't make this stuff up!!!!

I still hear my father's voice and he's past away two years ago today. What do I want the Legacy for my children to be? I only can pray they hear me and ingest and digest my words of wisdom.  And, that they WILL carry those words with them for the rest of their lives. My still calming voice.
