We have can faith without prayer but we cannot have prayer without faith. Prayer is a walk of faith, and we need to speak in the direction of our faith, doubt our doubts and above all, walk in forgiveness.

We look at why we should pray together, why people are sometimes reluctant to, and what it can and should look like when we get together to pray.

Matthew 6:6 is our foundation scripture where we are encouraged as individuals to pray to our heavenly Father. We are invited to present our requests and also deepen our relationship with the Father by finding a quiet secluded place, free of distractions and hindrances.

We looked at the prayer Jesus gave as a model to His disciples in Matthew 6, in which He encourages us to approach God, recognising Him for Who He is. He is our God to whom belongs the kingdom, power and glory, the Omnipresent One who is in heaven and at the same time indwelling the hearts of His children.

This Psalm of David's is also his testimony of what God has done in his life, and we too, are encouraged to follow suit by reminding ourselves of what God has done in our lives. In Christ we are forgiven, healed, redeemed, crowned, satisfied and renewed.

Although this scripture is called A Psalm of David, we look at it from the perspective of it being the testimony of David as he fights the good fight of faith. Throughout this Psalm we learn about the honest struggles David faced and overcame by holding on to the faithfulness of God in the midst of adversity.

This Psalm is an analogy of God as our Shepherd and we are His sheep, and as such we enjoy the benefits of God's Provision, Protection and His Promises in our lives.

Andrew shares some of his personal testimony of how God has brought him through life despite experiencing some brain injuries in an accident as a child.  There are covering words from Ps Chris as well.

The Holy Spirit manifested differently in the Old Testament, coming upon certain individuals for certain tasks. At Jesus's crucifixion the curtain / veil which divided the unholy and holy was torn apart, making a living way for Believers to become the tabernacles of God, where the Holy Spirit not only indwells Believers but also influences them for good.

A Christian who is spiritually found can at times, due to life circumstances, find themselves lost. But as it's always God's desire that we find our way forward, He reveals His purposes and plans to us by guiding us as we pray, and also as we understand that our lives have value, significance and meaning.

Looking at the life of Abraham, we learn that as we know and do the will of God, understanding of His will will follow, which will establish us on a firm and good foundation.

By looking at the lives of Jonah and the Apostle Paul, we learn a number of lessons about knowing, understanding and following the will of God in our own lives. Initially Jonah resisted and ran away from God's will whereas Saul distorted and denied God's will, but after both encountered God for themselves, they surrendered their own wills to God's. 

In this message we unpack the difference between God's perfect will and His permissive will. Walking in His perfect will we present our bodies as living sacrifices, which consists of a lifestyle of repentance, not conforming to the world and being transformed by the renewing of our minds.
