Titus 2:1-15; The apostle Paul lays out how discipleship should take place in the church. And, it's pretty simple, really. 

2 Corinthians 12:1-10; Learning how to suffer for the sake of Christ is the essence of being a disciple of Christ. It's hard, but necessary. 

2 Corinthians 8:1-15; 9:6-15; Disciples of Christ are commanded to give. but our hearts take money and cling to it. So in the scriptures we are taught how to give as disciples of Christ. 

1 Corinthians 2:1-16; telling people about Jesus is more than making a good sales pitch or garnishing your speech with Jesus. No, its telling people about the Simplicity of the Son, The Mystery of the Father with the help of the Searching Spirit. 

Romans 12:1-8; After 11 chapters of "indicatives" the Apostle Paul begins to give commands. the Imperatives follow the indicatives and in the grammatical order we find out how to grow in Jesus. 

Luke 9:21-27; 43-45; 57-62 Christian Disciples are called to suffer in the same way that Christ suffered. By picking up our cross and denying what we want. 

Mark 9:14-29; Faith is not something that we can create in ourselves. No, faith in Jesus can only come from the gift of God. But disciples of Jesus are commanded to more and more put their faith in Jesus. In this sermon we learn some practical ways to do that. 

Acts 4:32-5:11; the early church model's for us how we should be giving. They gave because of the grace of God, for the glory of God according to the character of God. 

Luke 10:1-20; Jesus sends out disciples to witness about the Kingdom of God. He warns of the danger, gives instructions and encourages them in their success. 

Revelation 12:1-17; In Revelation God gives a glimpse of the true violence involved in Christmas. Jesus was born under the threat of death...the dragon wants to steal and kill and destroy. In order for us to better see the joy of Christmas we must first come to grips with the agony of sin in the life. 

Genesis 1-50; the Nativity of Jesus didn't start the story of Christmas. That story began thousands of years earlier at the beginning of all things. 

Romans 6:15-23; Disciples of Jesus are called to grow more and more to be like Jesus. 

John 3:22-36; John the Baptist's disciples are worried-Jesus is growing in popularity and, therefore, John's ministry is shrinking. John responds to his disciples by reminding them of some deeply important truths. In doing so he he teaches us about the heart of Christian discipleship. 

Luke 19:1-10; Jesus calls all kinds of people to be his disciples. Even wicked, short men, despised by the world. He wants people like that as his disciples. 

John 4:1-42; Jesus goes to the wrong place at the wrong time to the wrong person and makes a disciple. 

John 1:35-51; Jesus calls normal guys and gives them a better life. But its better in surprising and unexpected ways. 

Matthew 28:16-20; Jesus gives simple instructions to the disciples. But in order to carry out those instructions they need something greater than a simple command. So Jesus gives them what they need to do what they are commanded to do. 

Ephesians 1:3-14; why are you a Christian? Because you are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to believe in Jesus as the Holy Spirit Enables you to believe. 

Ecclesiastes 12:1-14; Solomon comes to his conclusion--there are two things that we must do in order to have joy in this life. the world is attempting to buy a stairway to heaven, but our Stairway came down to us. 

Ecclesiastes 11:1-10; What do you do in the face of the shifting ground of life? When all is crumbling, what does God want you to do? Solomon gives biblical wisdom to those questions today. 

Ecclesiastes 10:1-20; Wisdom springs from a heart that is wise. Wise Words, Wise Deeds and Wise Thoughts flow from a Wise heart. Do you have a wise heart? 

Ecclesiastes 9:1-17; Living wisely under the sun means having the right perspective on your circumstances and enjoying the time you have been given. 

Ecclesiastes 8:1-17; Well you say you want a Revolution? Maybe what we really need is to submit to Authority? 

Ecclesiastes 7:15-29 ; where are you looking for love? what are you asking to give you life meaning and purpose? Sometimes wisdom literature tells us how we should live our lives, and sometimes, like this passage wisdom tells us what not to do. 

Ecclesiastes 6:10-7:13; Solomon teaches us about what is Good, Better and Best in life. And in doing so he reminds us that as God's children we are not simply stuck in the absurdity of life.
