Isaiah says that human pride tries to control God and bend Him to our will. Man made religion is man’s attempt to tame God. But God will not be tamed...so is there any hope for man? 

Isaiah presents two ways to live: the way of pride and the way of humility. Only one way leads to rest and security. 

Jesus performs his first sign in an unexpected place. In doing so he encourages faith in his discipled. 

Isaiah 27:1-13; humans long for home. Isaiah gives us a picture of the final home God prepares for us.

Isaiah 26:1-2: Isaiah wants to open our eyes to the Glory of the Lord's Peace. 

Isaiah 25:1-12; all of the Lord’s people have been invited to a grand feast. 

Isaiah 24:1-23; what would it be like to see the world as it really is? Isaiah invites us to do that very thing in these chapters. 

Isaiah 21:1–23:18; Isaiah takes a deep look at the destruction of 5 cities and show the ultimate end of the City of Man. 

Isaiah 13:1-20:6--Isaiah unfolds for us the events of human history in his own day from God's perspective so that we can understand what God is doing and why. 

Isaiah 12:1-6; How do we respond to Immanuel's Salvation? Isaiah tells us in this chapter. 

Isaiah 10:20-11:16; Psalm 2 helps us understand what is happening in Isaiah's day and what is happening in our day. Why do the Nations Rage and what does Yahweh think about them? 

Isaiah 9:8-10:19--Immanuel is "God with Us" and that isn't necessarily good news. 

Isaiah 8:1-9:7; Judah will experience the flood of the Assyrians because they refuse the gentle waters of Yahweh. but we learn that Faith saves an unexpected people from an unexpected location by an unexpected person. 

Isaiah 7:1-25; Isaiah is sent to Ahaz to encourage him in the midsts of a crisis. But Ahaz responds to the Lord with a shocking rejection. This passage helps us better understand the why faith matters. 

Isaiah 6:8-13; Isaiah is commissioned to take a challenging message to a hard hearted people. But he ends on a note of confidence that should give us hope. 

Isaiah 6:1-7; Isaiah sees Yahweh and is undone. What do we see? 

Isaiah 5:1-30; Yahweh compares Israel to a Vineyard, but its not lovely. What went wrong? 

Isaiah 1:2-4:6; Isaiah serves Judah with the notice of Yahweh's covenant charges against them. We see the Charges Proclaimed, The Chastisement Pledged and the Covenant Protection Promised. 

Isaiah 1:1--This morning we begin a new series on the book of Isaiah and in this one verse we learn quite a bit about Isaiah and his message. 

2 Samuel 16:1-4 & 19:24-30; Continuing our study of Mephibosheth today we see that he is once again at odds with the king. How will he respond and how should we respond to the King? 

Luke 24:31-49; Jesus proves his bodily resurrection to the disciples and declares the God's peace over them. He reassures them with his presence and the promise of the Father. 

Luke 19:41-44; Jesus rides into Jerusalem as the Messiah. But instead of joining in the celebration he weeps over the spiritual condition of the city. 

2 Samuel 9:1-13; What is going to happen to poor, disabled Mephibosheth? Will he be remembered or forgotten? 

2 Samuel 24:1-25; During this strange time its good to look to the unchanging Word of God for Comfort, Conviction and a reminder about his great love for us. 

2 Samuel 4:1-12; Mephibosheth is not one of the famous heroes of the Bible. But he stands out in the midsts of Israel's History as man of tragedy and redemption. His presence in the story of King David helps us better grasp the kindness of Jesus Christ.
