On the first day of Holy Week we remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem where he publicly declares himself to be the messiah for the first time. Pastor Adam talks about the three groups who are present and how they still exist in our world today.

Some people think things will never get better. Others think things could never get worse. Yet history and experience tell us that neither of these things are true. Humanity can never assume that it has "arrived". In the same way, we are mistaken to think that God has no power to change the current situation. This week, ambassadors come to make a peace treaty. But is everything as it seems? We'll talk about the need to Ask God for guidance in the strategic turning points of life. How do we even do that?

One of the biggest criticisms leveled at the Christian faith in recent years is that the Bible promotes war, violence and genocide. But does it? Is that what the story of Jericho tells us? Isn't what's happening in Israel today just an extension of 1,000's of years of war? We'll talk about it today, but mostly we'll talk about worship and music in the church.

In between the better known stories of crossing the Jordan and the fall of Jericho is this strange story of Joshua's encounter with the commander of Heaven's Armies; also, ever dude in Israel has to have an awkward medical procedure. But in all of this, the same outcome happens: Joshua and the people experience a holy moment before the battle.

The people of Israel have crossed the river. But in chapter 4 they pause to establish a monument of remembrance for themselves and for future generations.

After 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, it's finally time to enter the promised land! But why here? Why now? Do we really have to cross this river? This morning we talk about how crossing the river is a picture of the life-changing work that God wants to accomplish in his people, and how it probably seemed pretty boring for most to the day.

Joshua 2 is the story of Joshua sending out two spies, and those two spies going to the house of a prostitute. You know, that classic Bible story we all heard when we were kids ;) Really, this chapter speaks to those who try to clean up their own history to make it more presentable. It also speaks to those who think that anything the Bible talks about are things the Bible encourages or endorses.

New Year, New Book of the Bible! Today we start our study of the Book of Joshua. Pastor Adam gives the rundown of "how we got here" from Abraham to Moses to Joshua. We will also talk about Christians in our day engage with the Hebrew Scripture for good and for bad.

Movies, stories and Christmas carols often paint an idealized version of the first Christmas but the real story was anything but perfect. This December we are looking at the messy world that Jesus was born into and how uncomfortable Christmas really is.

In our final week studying the book of Colossians we see two realities: the first is that Paul actually lived out the gospel message he preached. The second is that Because Jesus Died: We have a mission. So we talk about what that mission is and what that mission means.

Jesus didn't go to the cross for the fun of it, there was a reason: to set people free! How does the reality of Jesus's death and resurrection affect the way his people should live? We'll talk about it today as we look at the third chapter of Colossians

What was a moment that changed your life? That made your world irrevocably different from that day forward? For Christians, that day we believed in Jesus changed everything! We can't go back knowing what we know... and that will have a natural effect on the way we think. Not because we are trying to adapt to a new groupthink, but because we live in a new reality.

We are closing up the Book of Philippians today with some final thoughts from the Apostle Paul discussions of church unity, a focus on Jesus and gratitude for his relationship with the Philippians.

What does it mean to be Spiritually Mature? What if it wasn't about having a certain level of knowledge or experience? What if spiritual growth and maturity had more to do with submission to Jesus and grace towards other people?

Israel is the main geographic location for a majority of the Bible. But it's not just a place, it is also a people and an idea. How does Israel (the land, the people, the idea) fit in the context of the New Testament and the New Covenant? How can Israel still be God's chosen people when the Church is the people of God? How should Christians view the modern nation of Israel with everything going on...

Many people see living "holy lives" as unobtainable or just hugely depressing. Churches that focus on holiness often seem to lack joy or hope.
