In chapter 12 we see the fallout of David's sin but also hope for redemption and eternal life!

Ezra is the first tells the first two parts of the three-part story of the people of Israel reclaiming Jerusalem. Parts 1 & 2 are: Rebuild the Temple and Purify the People. We will look at Part 3 (Rebuild the City) when we talk about Nehemiah.

There are people who say "I'm waiting for God to speak to me". Christianity declares that God has already been speaking to us, and we just need to open our ears. In Revelation 3, Jesus repeated asks us to listen to what the Spirit of God is saying: God know our deeds and Jesus is victorious.

In chapters 10 and 11 David has a military victory but then has the greatest personal defeat of his life.
