Faith Dialogue Podcast

The Parable of the Ten Virgins is part of the response Jesus gives to the question about the end of the age and his return. Five of the ten were faithful, the others unfaithful. This parable is also an answer to the question Jesus asked in Luke 18:8, "However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"          

Ephesians 4 continues with Pauls brief discussion of Christ's gifts - - first to those spirts in prison and then to the Church. Paul talks about the unity of the Church and responsiblity of all members of the Church to grow and mature        

Jesus continues his answer about the end of the age and His return. The Wise and Foolish servants represent those on earth when He returns. All of us have been given gifts and duties and responsibilities while on this earth. We need to take these seriously and not be foolish. There will be a time of reckoning          

Paul concludes Chapter 3 of Ephesians by praying that the Lord would strengthen us and enable us to know this amazing love of Christ which passes all understanding and knowledge and that we may be filled with all the fullness of God.   Chapter 4 is a great  chapter on the unity of the Church

This parable of the Fig Tree is in three of the Gospels.  Jesus starts by saying, 'Now learn this parable from the fig tree'      This parable is also a prophecy that speaks of the rebirth of Israel just before the second coming of Jesus Christ.   We should all 'learn this parable from the fig tree' Pastor Ken teaching at the Windsor in Celebration Wednesdays at 10 AM and 11 AM

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet in Matthew 22 reveals the Kingdom of the God and also provides a future look a the ultimate marriage supper of the Lamb spoken of in the Book of Revelation. Pastor Ken teaching this parable at the WIndsor in Celebration

The history of baptism in the Church is interesting. The early church used Baptism as a rite of initiation, often after a full year of instruction. Later Baptism split into two rites - infant baptism by sprinkling or pouring water over the forehead and confirmation later for adolescents and adults.   Pastor Ken talks about Baptism from his book "Roaming Catholics"

The Parable of the two sons and one who obeys shows that we need to look at the overall context of this as well as any passage. Matthew chapter 21 begins with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The whole point of Matthew’s gospel is to show Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah. This parable brings judgment on the religoius leaders who refuse to participate in the Kingdom

Psalm 103 is a Psalm of David, the shepherd King. David tells us to Bless the Lord and gives us the reasons to do so. God is worthy of our Praise. Pastor Ken Behr teaching at the WIndsor in Celebration

Jesus told this parable for some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others. Simple parable but we can learn much about prayer and humility          

This parable of the Persistent Widow, also called the parable of the Unjust Judge is about prayer.   Jesus tells us the context in the firstverse of chapter 18 "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men ( A )always ought to pray and not lose heart"    Join Pastor Ken of Faith Dialogue as he takes us through the parables of Jesus. 

4:1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after these things.”

The Bible parable of Lazarus and the rich man is a well-known story of Jesus found in the Gospel of Luke. ... Lazarus was welcomed into heaven, while the rich man was condemned to hell.   It's possible that since this is the only parable with a proper name (i.e. Lazarus) that it is more than just a parable.  

In the days when the judges ruled,[ a ] there was a famine in the land. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah, together with his wife and two sons, went to live for a while in the country of Moab.

The bible clearly teaches that every believer will 'meet Christ in the air" with resurrected bodies. This is the blessed hope yet many are unwilling to teach this.

The parable of the Unjust Steward or Shrewd Manager may be a little difficult to get our hands around. We can't find the good guy. However, there are many applications

Prophecy series continue with a look at some fo the amazing prophecies in the Book of Daniel. We see amazing precision on the prophecies of empires rise and fall. We also see the centrality of Israel in the future.
