Jesus tells three stories in 14th chapter of Luke all having to do with inviations to events. In the Parable of the Great Supper many are invited but some choose to decline.          

The Parable of the Great Supper is the third time that Jesus speaks of being invited to an event in this 14th chapter of Luke.   While humility is key, there is an invitation that should not be ignored.   Join Pastor Ken as he dives into this parable of the Great Supper

Chapter 6 of Hosea begins with the hopeful words, "Come, let us return to the Lord." This is not only hopeful, it is then followed by one of the most prophetic verses in the entire book of Hosea. A day doesn't go by without us hearing about some good samaritan that helped someone, paid something they didn't have to or generally did something good. Chapter 5 of Hosea begins with God's judgment on the priests, government and the King. The leaders are responsble however the people get the leaders they deserve. Join Pastor Ken Behr as he teaches through the Old Testament book of Hosea.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells the parable of the Prodigal Son, also known as the Lost Son. It is in response to the criticism of Jesus by the religious leaders that Jesus spent time and cared for sinners and tax collectors. In the parable of the lost coin Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a woman looking for and then finding a lost coin. There is great celebration in Heaven over one sinner that comes to repentence. Hosea continues speaking for God as judges Israel as one that has forgot the Lord. There will be no protection, no provision, no blessing. Jesus teaches and parables and in Matthew 13 we have a total of eight parables. The last one is the most unique as in the parable of the householder we see Jesus using both the old and the new in order to bring clarity to our understanding of the Kingdom of God. Hosea is told to take Gomer, a wife of whoredom as his bride.   This is a picture of Israel who has been unfaithful.   It is also a picture of all who choose to follow idols rather than the One True God.   Join Pastor Ken weekly as he teaches through the book of Hosea. 

Hosea is a prophet of God who is called by God to marry a woman who ultimately becomes a harlot. God's love for Israel is th backdrop for this story of Israel who also has played the harlot. Join Pastor Ken as he teaches verse by verse through the Book of Hosea.          

The parable of the dragnet in the Gospel of Matthew talks about the end of time. There will be a time when God judges all of mankind but that time has not come and that is fortunate as there is still time to get right with God.
