We aren't perfect. We make mistakes, we mess up and break things. We get hurt and then we often hurt others. We sometimes end up feeling unlovable, broken, and worthless. So then, do you need a do over? Do you wish for a clean slate so you can start again? The good news? God is the God of second chances.

The Bible reveals that marriage was not a concept devised by men but rather it was God’s idea from the beginning of time. Marriage was established by God and therefore it is a divine institution suggesting that marriage is not a secular contract but rather an ordained and divine covenant.

Although there were those who try to infringe, encroach and intrude upon that liberty, Paul declares, “we are free. By the blood and through the blood of Jesus alone, we are free.”

When believers do not dispel their doubts and disbeliefs then the body of Christ is quick to relinquish its hope, its expectation and its faith which is needed to live a life of victory. What then am I to do when I find myself overwhelmed by doubts and disbelief? What do I do when I am struggling to trust?

In the midst of all the accusations railed at Jesus while being crucified on a Roman cross, this was the sentiment of their abuse, “Where is God in all of this.”

Jesus responds with a message that would surprise Nicodemus—one so profound, it still speaks to us today.

The Sermon on the Mount is probably the best-known part of Jesus’ teaching, yet perhaps it is the most misunderstood and arguably the least obeyed. However, this teaching is the nearest thing we have to a manifesto that Jesus ever uttered for it is His own description of what he wanted His followers to be and to do.

Perhaps one of the biggest questions we wrestle with is the meaning of life. We first ask why am I here? What is my purpose and my life really all about? But once we get into God’s Word, we discover that our story is tied to a much larger story of redemption. And that is when we get a faithful perspective of who we are and what we are called to do.

Today is not just the chance to make some kind of religious fresh start, but rather toady we can seize upon this invitation to have new life in Jesus Christ.

Whoever is there among you of all His people?” That is to say, “Which of you are part of the faithful remnant?” In context, king Cyrus was asking, “Which individuals who claim to be God’s people were willing to rise up and do the work of the Lord?” Today, I am asking the same question. “Who is the remnant? Who is willing to rise up and do the work of the Lord?”

God has specific seasons in which He takes His people through to prepare them for a greater purpose. God has specific seasons in which he leverages to shape His people. So how does God shape us? God is going to do something in you so He can ultimately do something through you.

The will of God is often regarded as one of the most profound pursuits of faith, but it must be understood that discovering God’s will is not merely an intellectual exercise; it is a spiritual act rooted in trust.
