Sue and Kendra talked with April Martin, the creator of The Calendar Kids Book Series . April is an author, illustrator, teacher and a mom of two who (while teaching her first grade class in 2008), discovered there were not many books to teach her students about the months of the year. That’s what gave her the idea for The Calendar Kids Book Series.

Sue and Kendra talked with Caroline Allen, she is the founder of The Mom Connection, which brings moms together locally and virtually for support, connection, and friendship. Caroline is a working mom with two kids under 3 years old, she is a Nurture by NAPS Mom Survival Guide Leader and she is on a mission to make sure all moms feel connected to those in their lives and in their community.

Sue and Kendra talked with Jennifer Johnson, the Executive Director of Gaining Ground, a Concord MA non profit working to resolve the food insecurity crisis in Massachusetts. Jennifer leads a team of farmers and volunteers who work to donate to vegetables, fruits and herbs.

Sue and Kendra talked with Eneida Roman, she is the co-founder and President of Amplify Latinx. Eneida is a trained attorney and organizational psychologist, and for two decades, has used her expertise in law, conflict resolution, cultural competence, and public affairs to encourage and inspire women and the Latino community. 

Sue and Kendra talked with Leemarie Mosca, the President and CEO of Rosie's Place. Rosie's Place provides food, shelter, education and advocacy support to thousands of homeless and near homeless women every year. Their signature event is happening today from 12-2 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Kendra talked with Carolina Martinez. Along with her husband, Hall of Famer and beloved Red Sox player Pedro Martinez, they run The Pedro Martinez Foundation. The Foundation has impacted more than 100,00 children and their families in the Dominican Republic and the United States. The 6th annual Pedro Martinez Gala is happening this Friday November 11th at the Mandarin Hotel in Boston.

Sue talked with Dr. Maky Zanganeh, the Co-Chief Executive Officer and President of the Board of Directors of Summit Theraputics. Dr. Zaganeh is the author of The Magic of Normal , a leader in the healthcare industry and a breast cancer survivor. She led a team to a multi-billon dollar sale of a pharmaceutical start up that developed a lifesaving cancer drug. 

Kendra talked with Carrie Riley, the Chief Marketing Officer for Aroma Joe’s, a local destination for handcrafted coffee, headquartered in South Portland Maine. Carrie is also breast cancer survivor currently undergoing treatment, so we talked about her journey and how she has been directly supported by The Dempsey Center, which is Aroma Joe’s charitable partner.

Kendra talked with Jen Hoye, she's a Taunton native, the Director of Creative and Content at Acceleration Partners but more importantly, she is a mental health and suicide prevention advocate after losing her brother, Teddy to suicide in May 2017. Sue and Kendra talked with Michelle Kati, one of the professional service dog trainers with the NEADS program. NEADS is a nonprofit organization that offers Service Dogs for adults and children with physical disabilities, Service Dogs for veterans, for Hearing, and for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Sue talked with WCVB Storm Team 5's Chief Meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon about her incredible career. Believe it or not, Cindy is Boston's first ever female Chief Meteorologist, and we love her so much!
