Jesus closes the sermon on the Sermon on the Mount, and the multitudes are amazed!

Jesus begins the conclusion of His sermon: will you follow the culture of the day or will you follow Him?

Today we discussion the purpose and direction of CBC. We also address women's role in the church.

How would you summarize the entire Old Testament? Would your summary be a paragraph? Maybe a few pages? How about 15 words? Jesus summarizes the entire Old Testament as well as the Sermon on the Mount in 15 words.

Is Genesis relevant today? How does Genesis affect doctrine and faith? Dr Tim Chaffey will discuss those questions today.

Was Noah's Ark real? Was the flood global or local? How do these questions impact our faith?

Are you judgmental? Maybe just discerning? What is the difference? Does Jesus condone either one? That's what Matthew 7:1-6 is all about.

What do you treasure here on earth? What does that say about your values?

Often times we use God to rid us of sins we don't like while holding on to sins we don't mind. We give God lots of little yeses, but not the big yes. What happens when you give God the big yes? How does that change everything in your life?

When it comes to relationships are boundaries good? If so, what type of boundaries? Do boundaries stop our hearts from evil thoughts? Can boundaries make us righteous? Do you create boundaries to focus on God or so you know what you can get away with?

When it comes to morality, do you draw a hard line? Are you more righteous than those who are on the other side of the line? Maybe you are not as righteous as you think?

Jesus continues to confront the religious legalism of the Pharisees. However, in this confrontation some might wonder if Jesus is trying to undermine scripture. Jesus not only delights in scripture but is the authority on scripture.

During Jesus earthly ministry the people witnessed His miracles that authenticated His claim to be the Son of God. It seems like it would be easy to follow Him based on their experience. Yet, many did not. In this series we ask who are you following and why?

Do you have a let's make a deal theology with God? A theology that believes if you are good God owes you? If so, what happens when tragedy strikes? Is God to blame? Can senseless evil exist? If so, how can we find meaning in the meaningless pain?

After the exile the Israelites wondered if God's presence was still with them. Have you ever wondered the same thing? Psalm 114 was written to encourage those Israelites, that although God's presence was no longer visible, He was still there.

Have you ever felt like a loser? Like no one cares for you? If so, Psalm 113 is for you.

Psalm 112 has an unknown author and an unknown date, but we do know that it is a Psalm of wisdom.
