Daniel’s dream interpreted. Part 1

Daniel’s dream. The little horn from the final kingdom is destroyed with a word from God’s throne. The Son Of Man is presented with God, Jesus Christ in His glory.

We continue to discuss Daniels prophetic dream. An overview of world empires.

Daniel’s Vision of the Four Beasts- the first beast was a lion with wings- Babylon.

Daniel and the Lions’ Den. One one the most famous chapters in the Bible. A story of jealousy, pride, power, flattery, trickery, politics, faith in God, and the power of God.

Daniel interprets the handwriting on the wall, and Belshazzar’s rule comes to an end. Babylon falls to the Medes & Persians. A powerful lesson, God condemns those who reject him, who turn their back on his word, the truth. God condemns those who reject his word.

Foolish king Belshazzar’s rule is coming to an end, as he defiles the Holy vessels taken from God’s temple in Jerusalem. He literally sees the handwriting on the wall!

God humbles Nebuchadnezzar, and makes him live like an animal for 7 years till he acknowledges God and renounces his own pride. What a powerful lesson for us today.

Nebuchadnezzar’s second dream. Daniel gives a troubling interpretation, God is in control, and will change Nebuchadnezzar’s mighty status from the world’s first great ruler to something else, as lowly and humble as possible.

God’s presence protects Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the flames of the fiery furnace. In the same way today, God promises his presence for us as we deal with our own tribulations.

Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image was for all people to worship. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were put in a position to either acknowledge God or not. In many ways, we face similar choices today.

Daniel recounts and then interprets King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. He displays God’s power and authority not only of our lives, but over the future. God is so in control!
