God works in us, so that we can rest in him.

Jesus Christ is our high priest before God. He can represent us because he is both perfect in righteousness and knows our humanity.

Through Jesus Christ we have a high priest in Heaven who has been tempted and suffered in every way, but never sinned. Because of this, our high priest can sympathize in every way with us. Because of this, we have confidence in his strength and help as we go through our trials, temptations, hardships, and struggles.

Keep your heat humble, like Christ, to allow the Word of God to work in you.

The danger of hardening our hearts. If you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts like the Exodus generation. Exhort one another everyday. Build one another up daily. Share your faith in Christ with one another - it’s so important, to keep our hearts centered on him!

Warning sign #2: Don’t let your hearts be hardened - don’t doubt.

Jesus is superior to Moses. Moses was a servant in God’s house. Jesus built God’s house. By his death on the cross for us, we become God’s house- the body of Christ - the Messiah!

As we remember Jesus during times of taking communion, we remember eating the bread and drinking the wine as representation of Jesus body and blood shed for us. At the same time Jesus likewise became flesh and blood, like us, in order that he could share in our humanity. Everything exists because of Jesus Christ. He created all things, and all things exist because of him. He is the foundation of our sanctification. Our sanctification occurred on the cross, with him. Because he took part in our flesh and blood, we take part in his flesh and blood through his sacrifice on the cross. Through Jesus we are now children of God, and his brothers in Christ.

The evidence for your salvation is Jesus Christ’s death in the cross. His sacrifice for the world to witness is the foundation of salvation.

The deity of Jesus Christ and the “danger of drifting”.

From Genesis to Revelation, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, from the beginning of time to the end of time - Jesus Christ is supreme.

Jesus Christ personifies God’s glory, nature, and power. He humbled himself, sacrificed himself on the cross to purify us from sin. He is now at the right hand of God.

From the beginning of all time to our “last days” now, everything starts and ends with Jesus Christ. He is the beginning and the end of all authority, and the final word of God to man.

The Time of the End

The rise and fall of the Anti-Christ.

Daniel’s vision interpreted- continued. The rise of Antiochus IV, a little horn, much like the future little horn, Anti-Christ to come.

The angel continues to interpret Daniel’s vision. It is a prophecy of the future for Daniel, and of fulfilled world history for us.

Daniel’s vision of s man. A lesson about the spiritual battle raging. A lesson about prayer. Daniel prayed continuously, centered in heart & humility, and was changed. This models the effect of praying on the battle - for our souls today.

Daniel’s 3rd vision. A look into the future and revelation of God’s glory.

The angel Gabriel brings an answer to Daniel explaining after 70 years of captivity, an additional 70 weeks (70x7=490 years) are required to fulfill God’s plan to fully restore His kingdom. We see this pointing to the coming of Jesus Christ, sin destroyed, and God’s kingdom fully restored.

Daniel’s Prayer. He studies God’s word. He prays for God’s will to be done, not his own. He prays for God’s mercy because of who God is, not because of his condition.
