ESJP would not exist without George Catalano. In 2024 he attended an 'Engineering and Social Justice' meeting run by cohost Caroline Baillie, in Kingston, Canada. Two years later he decided to run the next one. This one was called "Engineering, Social Justice and Peace'. And George really did add the peace to ESJP.
