Jesus said "Blessed are the poor in spirit" Today we are going to take a look at Matthew chapter 5:1-3.  This is the beginning of what is called the Sermon on the Mount and runs through chapter 7.  We are only going to look at the first 3 verses of chapter 5.  Jesus starts His message by announcing that blessed (happy) are the poor in spirit.
