The fallout from sin touches every relationship in our lives, from our relationship with the world to our relationships with one another to the most important relationship of all--our relationship with God. But the gospel has the power to restore those relationships as far as the curse is found.

The apostle John arises from his angelic vision of the New Creation. Was it all just a dream? And how do Christians live today in light of the New Creation that they will inherit soon?

Parting words of wisdom: Peter ends his letter with some simple commands that help us bring the hope of Christ into our everyday. Be humble. Stay alert. And keep your eyes on heaven.

Behind our specific acts of disobedience is our rejection of what it means to be human. We question God's authority, reject God's goodness, and decide we are better off on our own.

Marriage is designed to help us do what God made us to do: represent his rule, and reflect his love. And sex is designed for marriage.

God made men and women as equals, but to be distinct. And he made us male and female, on purpose, for our good.

God made us to need him. This simple point has huge implications for how we see ourselves, how we see God, and how we see one another.

Having explained who will be in the new creation, John now describes what the city of the new Jerusalem will be like - the home for all whose names are in the book of life.

To be made in the image of God is to be made for a purpose: to represent God's rule, to rest in God's goodness, and to reflect God's glory.

What does it mean to be made in the image of God? It means that human dignity is based on the love of God, and human dignity extends to every human life.

When God made everything, everything he made was good, exactly as he wanted it. What does that mean for our lives as humans in God’s good world?

Why is there something rather than nothing? Because God is love.

Knowing ourselves begins with knowing that we are not God, that we owe our lives to God, and that therefore God defines who we are.

A vision of the New Heavens and the New Earth is given by Jesus to the apostle, John. It will be where God dwells. But who else will be there?

When God's people are in trouble, he delivers them. Always. No matter what.

Why is there so much injustice in the world, and what hope is there for justice?

The young King Ahaz, of the house of David, is besieged by King Rezin of Syria and King Pekah of Israel. What will he do? Will he trust the sinful forces of his day, or the Lord’s saving promises?

A list of ancestors may seem to us like an underwhelming way to begin the story of Jesus' life. But Matthew's genealogy is the perfect introduction to where Jesus came from, what Jesus came to do, and who Jesus came to save.

The end of this incredible story is also our invitation to take up our role in the work God is doing in the world.

As Paul's circumstances go from bad to worse, we see in Paul's character the unmistakable beauty of Jesus, and the trustworthiness of the God to whom Paul belongs.

We are one body, with many gifts, helping one another grow up in Jesus.

Paul’s final defense shows us exactly what we need for effective evangelism.

Paul is caught between Jewish leaders who hate him and Roman officials who care nothing for him, falsely accused, unjustly imprisoned, completely vulnerable and, it seems, all alone. But God has prepared him for this moment and has put him exactly where he's supposed to be.

Paul enters Jerusalem against the advice of his friends, and endures suffering at the hands of the Jews, yet gets to share his testimony.

Paul's final words to the elders in Ephesus give us a clear picture of the pastoral leadership we need for our growth as Christians.
