Conceptual Meals [note] (EatIngredients.com) 03.03.2006 3:01
NOTE: Conceptual Meals FOODSTUFF LISTING: Fontina Frittata; Ed's Cordeon Bleau; Strawberry Tart Conceptual Meals are defined by the devises and the applications that are used daily, that are considered as ideas to quell a dilemma; so are conceptual meals defined by what is eaten regularly, an ideal to compel the solution: a wish and a prayer; a metaphor and a Gnosticism. Such fetishes fester a fea...

Hunting for Groceries [note] (EatIngredients.com) 22.02.2006 3:54
NOTE: Hunting for Groceries FOODSTUFF LISTING: Broiled Truffle Asparagas; Veal Pot Pie; Super-Baked Chicken There is a saying that concludes one should not shop for food while hungry because one's attention is easily distracted. One could argue that shoppes, markets and stores prey on this frailty.

Home Economics [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 17.02.2006 5:33
NOTES: Home Economics FOODSTUFF LISTING: Cassoulet Ed, Ed's Gumbo, Ed's Chum The three foodstuff listings are meals that produce swell left-overs: substantive palpability. Tell you what, nothing more satisfying than a frenzied feed--that tastes good and that's healthy for you; that lets you feel a little roly-poly, too!!!.

Caste Iron [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 09.02.2006 4:05
NOTES: Caste Iron FOODSTUFF LISTING: Ed's Cast-Iron Pizza/Ed's Beef-n-Beer Stew I have cast-iron pots and pans from my Great Grandmother (Nana)--and I have purchased some as well. (Nana's fryer makes great chicken.) I've been to flea markets in Pennsylvania where the vendors' primary surplus is cast-iron. I do most of my cooking with cast-iron.

Cooking Utensils [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 03.02.2006 4:05
NOTES: Cooking Utensils FOODSTUFF LISTING: Smothered Light/Apple Tofu Stirfry I enjoy perusing a museum's (home) design/decorative art collection to look not so much as at the flatware and place settings of history past, but at the kitchen equiptment used in everyday living. Some people believe that the kitchen is a station filled with unglamorous tasks, while others contend that a place setting i...

Ingredients [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 24.01.2006 3:03
NOTES: Ingredients FOODSTUFF LISTING: Ed's Chicken Stuff/Fishy Noodles I learn from my mistakes. This means that I have to know myself in order to acknowledge and accept ownership of the mistake--the telltale signs of a loner. I like to analyze, then craftily document and reproduce my mistakes in writing--the call of a literary artist. How the mistakes are corrected depends on one's appraisal of a...

Prep Appraisal Hands-On [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 18.01.2006 4:12
NOTES: Prep Appraisal Hands-On FOODSTUFF LISTING:Chimmi Changa Yes, in the kitchen, there is business process management (BPM), a process that takes into consideration steps, technique and timing. Whenever preparing a meal from a recipe or from scratch, success or failure begins and ends with the process involved. When substituting ingredients, an awareness of process in comparison to the improvis...

Flipping Burger Innovation!!! [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 08.01.2006 3:37
NOTES: Flipping Burger Innovation!!! FOODSTUFF LISTING: Meatballs I learned a lot from my fast-food job. The business skills learned while working in a fast-food environment ("super-size" in the later part of the 20th Century) is like the entrepreneurial skills learned while working as a paperboy ("get your paper here" in the early part of the 20th Century). Some people view wo...

Taste Matters [notes] (EatIngredients.com) 08.01.2006 4:19
NOTES: Taste Matters FOODSTUFF: Fig Chicken, and Tuna Pot Pie I started going to a nutritionist to help me manage my carbohydrate intake. She introduced me to substitutes for...food. The nutritionist also spoke strongly on moderation. I did moderate my consumption, but not substitution. I've heard of tough love, but tough eating be damned!!! "For health reasons," is a decent excuse, but...

Brief Backstory (EatIngredients.com) 08.01.2006 2:10
EatIngredients.com is the result of over five years of documenting my anecdotal cooking (via my poetry and foodstuff listings). The inspiration for this project came from the attempt to decompress from a nebulous schedule as paced by maintaining a new media lifestyle within the Information Society. Taking the time to actually prepare a meal, list the ingredients, and write poetry has been a good e...
