We look at examples of God's Surprising Grace through Mark 7:24-8:10 (focusing  on 8:10). He shows grace when, where, and to those whom we do not  expect. We should look for His surprising grace in our lives and in the  lives of those around us.  How has God's grace surprised and challenged me?

Jesus tells us why following rules and rituals will not save us in Mark 7:14-23.  Why? Because our fundamental problem is not the evil outside us, but  the evil/sin that dwells in each of our hearts. The only solution is  heart transformation/change that can only be brought about by Jesus  Christ.  Where does my sin come from?  What can I do about it?

Pastor Tom shares from Mark 7:31-37. His goal and prayer for us is to be astonished at the works of God and for us to begin begging God to display His works.   Am I astonished at the work of God? How can I make a habit of begging God to display His works?

And we all are called to come to Jesus with humility and receive His grace.   Do I believe that Jesus cares for me? How do I respond to that truth?

We continue our study of the character of Jesus Christ from Mark 7:1-13. In this passage, Jesus has a debate with the Pharisees over whether God's Word or man's traditions are more important. We will be challenged to think about whether what we do is more in line with our traditions or with the Word of God.  Are the decisions I make in line with God's Word? How do I know that?

In this sermon we look at Jesus walking on water from Mark 6:45-56. This miracle challenges the disciples' understanding of who Jesus is. In the same way, we will be challenged by Jesus' power and discuss the impact a relationship with the Son of God can have in our lives. What do I really believe about Jesus Christ?
