The story of Jesus calling His first disciples (in Luke 5:1-11) will challenge us to pledge our allegiance to the founder of our faith: Jesus Christ. In Him, we become part of a new people, a new nation, called to fish for people and point them toward saving faith in Christ.

Luke 4:31-44 will tell us that Jesus has authority. What does that mean? He had power that impacted His teaching, His encounters with demons, and His healing. Yet, Jesus emphasized His teaching ministry as the main purpose of His ministry. His authority is still with us today through the presence of His Holy Spirit and His Word.

In this sermon we'll look at the story of Jesus being rejected by His hometown in Luke 4:16-30. This passage shows us that Jesus has good news for those in low places and for outsiders. But that good news may be rejected by those who do not like how Jesus changes the status quo of this world.

In this sermon we will look at the temptation of Jesus from Luke 4:1-15. Unlike the first man, Adam, Jesus did not fall to sin. He shows us how to resist temptation through trusting the Word, putting God first, and interpreting the Bible in a way that honors the Lord. Jesus' victory over sin and His death on our behalf makes it possible for us to know God and follow Him.

Luke 3:21-38 will switch our focus from John the Baptist to Jesus. This passage will show us that Jesus is both the Son of God (fully God) and the Son of Man (fully human). Since Jesus is the Son of God, He will one day bring God's judgment because He pleases His Heavenly Father. Since He is the Son of Man, He can understand what we go through.

In this sermon, we'll talk about John the Baptist and his message of repentance from Luke 3:1-20. John called people to repent and prepare for Jesus by bearing fruit and acting justly. Even though John experienced persecution, he kept his focus on the coming One (Jesus) who would be even mightier than him.

Elder Josh Wines brings us back to the Gospel of Luke. We will discover more about who Jesus is through Luke 2:41-52 and its description of Jesus' boyhood visit to the temple in Jerusalem.

Elder Dan preaches on God's providence from Romans 8:28. God is in control and is over all things, so we should trust Him.

We will start a new sermon series on the Gospel of Luke. This sermon will be an introduction to the book and the first two chapters, focusing on Luke 1:1-4. We can trust what Luke writes about Jesus because he is presenting an orderly account of Jesus' life based on eyewitness testimony. This book should give us certainty about the truth of Jesus Christ.

We finish the Book of Amos by looking at 9:11-15. This passage celebrates the restoration that awaits all of God's people at the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Truly we should have hope for the Future!

In this sermon we will talk about how it is impossible to run away and hide from God from Amos 9:1-10. No matter what, He will find us. That's bad news because it means that His judgment is definitely coming. But it is also good news because it means that He will always be with and save His true people, His remnant, who trust in Him.

In this sermon we will be back in Amos. Chapter 8 will look at God's judgment on the Israelites for their selfish sins. There will be death, mourning, and destruction, but the worst part of God's judgment is that He will take away His Word (see vs. 11-12). We'll talk about why having access to God's Word is such a precious treasure that should not be taken for granted.

Happy Easter! During this sermon, we will praise Jesus for His victory over death and look at John 20:11-18. Because of the resurrection, Jesus calls us by name to come to Him today!

In this sermon we'll focus on how the Lord roars His truth through His Word, even when that message is unpopular. In Amos 7:10-17, people try to twist Amos' words and tell him to 'shut up and go home'. But Amos stays faithful to God's truth, even when it's unpopular.

But, at the same time, He does not let sin go undealt with. Either Jesus paid for our sins or we will pay for them and experience the Lord's judgment.
