Someone recently celebrated her 30th birthday, and she's here to talk about it. Also, Ian pops in with his thoughts about Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

Dan and Mike break format this week; instead of discussing two forthcoming collections and one that's already on the shelves, they cover (and argue over) the two series that made Alex Ross a comic book superstar: Marvels and Kingdom Come!

Killer tomatoes, rogue heroes, enraged gods, warring rebels and possessed souls all attack in the five comics (Attack of the Killer Tomatoes #1, Savage Dragon #141, Thor: Man of War, Unknown Soldier #2 and Vincent Price Presents #3) Des and Mike discussed this week.

Hidden truths are revealed (Green Lantern: Secret Origin), misguided revenge is sought (Invincible Iron Man: The Five Nightmares) and demonic plots are foiled (Hellblazer: Son of Man) in the three trades Dan and Mike reviewed this week.

The final four Star Trek Power Records are presented today: The Man Who Trained Meteors, The Robot Masters, Dinosaur Planet and The Human Factor.

This week Des and Mike butt heads over one of the five comic books, but then they come to agree that another is horrendous. And those five books are: Anna Mercury #4, Brit #9, The Cleaners #1, Green Arrow / Black Canary #14 and Nightwing #150.

Doctor Who Week continues on Earth-2.net, and in this episode of Earth-2.net: The Show Dan and Mike discuss Steven Moffat, writer of such episodes as "The Doctor Dances" and "Blink." Not only do they look at his contributions to the program thus far, but speculate as to what he'll bring to the show now that he's been named head writer / executive producer.

As part of Doctor Who Week, Dan and Mike discuss IDW's Doctor Who Classics, volume one. But before that, they review the Robin: Violent Tendencies and Ultimate Human trade paperbacks.

Though selections from the November Previews catalog might be the main topic of the show, Jenny and Mike find time to talk about writing, road trips and ice cream. Oh, and STDs.

First Des and Mike discuss Amazing Spider-Man #575, Battlefields: The Night Witches #1, Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns, Hellboy: In the Chapel of Moloch and The War that Time Forgot #6. Then DW chimes in with his review of the Mirror's Edge remix album.

Ill-fated time travel, the politics of superheroes and the aftermath of world domination are the themes this week as Dan and Mike speak about Booster Gold: Blue and Gold, Civil War and Empire.

Never in the history of the Is It Wednesday Yet? segment have Des and Mike been so divided on one comic book. Which host declared "I hate this book" about one of the following titles: Batman #680, El Diablo #2, Four Eyes #1, House of Mystery #6 and Vixen: Return of the Lion #1?

Batman has re-formed the Outsiders, and their first mission involves stopping an OMAC and a European space launch (Batman and the Outsiders, volume one). First Spider-Man has to prevent Mr. Negative from killing off the entire New York City mafia, then he teams with Jackpot to stop a new Goblin (Spider-Man: Brand New Day, volume one). And then Maxwell Lord's new (yet familiar) team of superheroes...

At one point during the recording, Jenny says something so outrageous that Mike calls an end to the show. (Okay, they kept going, but he called an end nonetheless.) As it is with every Previews show, the laughter doesn't stop, and the October edition isn't any different.

There's something different about Is It Wednesday Yet? this week. The show is being released on a Tuesday. Both Des and Mike are present. And five comic books are being covered: Action Comics #869, Cable #7, City of Dust #1, Civil War: House of M #2 and Scalped #21. Wait! Were there two DC books in there?

Long after Star Trek ended its original run of episodes, the series was kept alive thanks to Power Records. In this episode of Earth-2.net: The Show you'll hear three such recordings: Passage to Moauv, In Vino Veritas and The Crier in Emptiness!

No matter how hard they tried, Dan and Mike couldn't seem to agree this week. Is The Spirit, volume two goofy or trying too hard to be goofy? They agree that Wonder Woman: The Circle looks good, but that's where their consensus ends. And one of the hosts barely finished Sandman, volume two: The Doll's House.

On paper, Teen Wolf is a great concept: a teenage werewolf who accidentally outs himself seeks acceptance from his friends. In execution, however, things fall apart, and it's up to Jenny and Mike to make sense out of it.

Recently comic book writer Robert Kirkman made some controversial statements regarding corporate- versus self-publishing, and Des and Mike are here to chime in.
