This week's Sunday night devo & discussion period focused mainly on giving our worries and anxiety to God, and how to navigate feeling like he's not listening.

At the end of Matthew 6, Jesus begins to talk about worrying and anxiety. He gives 3 reasons as to why we need not be anxious about our life.

This week through the Major Prophets we look at Ezekiel, the prophet to those in Babylonian Exile.

Our devotional topic is on spiritual discipline. During our discussion, we field questions about all of Matthew 6, and the various topics we've discussed the last few weeks.

This week we study Jesus' teaching on material wealth and the things of this life, from Matthew 6:19-24.

This week our study of the major prophets brings us to Jeremiah.

This week we have our traditional Sunday evening service, and we study a special topic related to our Sermon on the Mount series: fasting. What is fasting? What's the point? Should modern-day Christians fast? What does the Bible say about all this?

This week we study the rest of Matthew 6:1-18, considering Jesus' commands to give, pray, and fast "in secret."

During this week's Sunday night service, we continue right where we left off from this morning, studying Jesus' model prayer for his disciples, from Matthew 6.

We continue our study of the Sermon on the Mount, but this week we take some time to focus on Jesus' model prayer for his disciples in Matthew 6, also known as "The Lord's Prayer."

We begin a new section of the Bible, the Major Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. This week we talk about the genre of biblical prophecy, while talking about common themes and approaches to these texts.

As we look at Matthew 5:21-48, we see what teaches about inner righteousness, and how it must come from the heart.

This week, as we wrap up our study of the historical books we take a look at an example passage from 2 Kings, and discuss how it can apply today.

This week, in Matthew 5:17-20, Jesus tells his disciples he has come to fulfill the Law and the Prophets - what does that mean? And what does that have to do with righteousness?

This week we recap our major section of the Historical Books, and discuss some of the major themes and ideas that run from Joshua-2 Kings, Ezra and Nehemiah.

We dive further into topics from this morning like the role of the church in our community, and the mission of God in Scripture.

Tonight's Devo is from Genesis 25 on Esau & Jacob. Our discussion considers what it means to be "persecuted" in a Christian context, and how we should always be soul-focused.
