Religion EN ↓ 226 episodes

On the Doctrine Matters Podcast, I talk about primary, secondary, and tertiary doctrines found in Scripture in an easy to understand format. I also spend time discussing current events going on in the world from a Biblical perspective. This podcast will help not only the deep thinker in theology, but it will help the layperson in any Church understand some of the more difficult things we find in the Scriptures. The podcast was formed to run everything both Biblical and current events in our world through a Biblical lens to give God glory, exalt Christ, and encourage one another.

Do you want to see the Lord? 07.05.2021

There's an old song that says, "Everybody wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to die." The truth is, we are all going to die, and we will one day stand before our Lord. The Verdict Is In 21.04.2021

For over a year we watched the footage of Derek Chauvin leaning on the neck of George Floyd. We watched the nearly 10 minute video that sparked riots across the country, the burning of Minneapolis, and calls to defund the police were heard for miles and miles around the United States. Did the new found wokeness of America win the day with a guilty verdict on three different accounts? Did Derek Cha...

You can’t fence the Gospel 17.04.2021

Recently Pastor James Coates was released from prison for continuing to open his Church in the middle of a pandemic. Although released, he wasn't going to be preaching at the normal Church building. I will discuss my thoughts on this episode. #jamescoate...

What happens when things don't go the way we want them to in our lives? How do we respond as Christians? What do we say? What do we do when our kids are sick ? When scans don't come back clear? On this episode I want to talk through worry, fear, trials, and our response while talking through a story of a friend of mine who heard the words, "The praise is greater than the worry," from a doctor at S...

Fathers, Character, and Kirk Franklin 16.03.2021

Over the weekend the son of Kirk Franklin released an audio recording of a phone call that included Kirk Franklin using profanity, taking the Lords name in vain, and saying he will break his sons neck. Kirk Franklin is a well known Gospel artist, but is this the type of behavior that should come from those that profess to be Christians? Is this the type of behavior fathers are to bestow on their c...

With so much going on in the world today, the Church has a black eye. There is a watching world. A world that is watching the Churches moral failures, arguments, disunity and more. Ravi, Carl, Johnny Mac and the Roys Report 23.02.2021

Also, if you feel compelled to give to...

A Generation Away 10.02.2021

I Hate Your Theology!! 16.12.2020

Has anyone ever disagreed with you on what you believe from the Scriptures? Have they taken an angry approach with you? Called you a heretic? Told you that you were in a cult? Told you that you are not saved simply by believing what the Bible teaches? We all find ourselves in disagreements every now and then, but how should we respond? Do we match the intensity? Do we call them names, and proudly...

Where have all the cowboys gone? 24.11.2020

There is a saying that cowboys are the last of a dying breed. In 2020 it seems that men in general are the last of a dying breed. The postmodern progressive agenda has enslaved many men to it's dangerous philosophies and methodologies. Finding real men is becoming harder and harder. It's become even harder to find Biblical Men!!! In this episode I talk about men and the fight against the progressi...
