Religion EN ↓ 226 episodes

On the Doctrine Matters Podcast, I talk about primary, secondary, and tertiary doctrines found in Scripture in an easy to understand format. I also spend time discussing current events going on in the world from a Biblical perspective. This podcast will help not only the deep thinker in theology, but it will help the layperson in any Church understand some of the more difficult things we find in the Scriptures. The podcast was formed to run everything both Biblical and current events in our world through a Biblical lens to give God glory, exalt Christ, and encourage one another.

The Problem With Men 13.05.2022

There is a problem, and it starts with men, because men are a problem. Our culture is full of men who do not act like men. This was brought to my attention after attending an even recently. Forgiveness and the Human Heart 03.05.2022

Forgiveness is something we all want when we fail. Whenever we sin against others we want them to forgive us, but forgiveness is not always something we want to give. Sometimes we put stipulations on granting someone forgiveness whether it's waiting to see if the forgiveness is genuine or if they were really serious by seeking forgiveness. The problem with this is that Jesus didn't tell us to put...

Bob Saget: Americas Dad, Dead at 65 12.01.2022

How should we view the deaths of celebrities? Every death is loss, and all loss is tragic. We mourn with those who mourn and weep with those who weep. What about celebrities that die, that do not profess Christ or care anything at all about God and His Word? How do we view their death then? Do we make social media shrines? Do we say R.I.P? Or do we view their death through the lens of Scripture. O...

Postmodern Truth Kills Churches 25.12.2021

The Postmodern world we live in is going to kill Churches. Many Churches should have the word ICHABOD on the door post because The glory of God has departed. In this episode I am going to talk about a Church that has embraced Post Truth, Postmodern thought and ran with it. This Church is no longer a Church. It's lampstand has been removed. Furticks Fictitious Fallacy 26.10.2021

By now you have likely heard the Tweet that is the talk of evangelicalism. Yes, Steven Furtick said something else to add to his list of heresies which is an ever growing list of why people should flee from Steven Furtick and his ministry at Elevation Church. Some may think I'm harsh, others may think I should be more harsh, but we are going to look at a short, Biblical response to the tweet heard...

False Teachers Produce More False Teachers 20.10.2021

There are many people that cling to Steven Furtick, including those that desire to imitate him in the pulpit. Sadly, pastors like Steven Furtick and others are producing more false teachers which will ultimately lead to more false converts. We need a new reformation. A reformation of pastors. A reformation of Churches. A reformation of the professing believer. We need Jesus. We need His Word, and...

Steven Furtick is loved by many people. Why not? After all, he is a good communicator, he's hip, wears relevant clothing, and has a large Church with a large following. However, this isn't always a good thing. On this episode of the Doctrine Matters Podcast we will listen together to several things that Steven Furtick has said from the "pulpit," and see why what he has said in the name of God does...

Sound The Alarm: Jesse Duplantis 09.09.2021

I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here, but I think it is extremely important to warn everyone we know about the dangers of false teachers out there today. From Kenneth Copeland, to Creflo Dollar and everyone in between, people need to know that these men (and women) are false teachers and we must sound the alarm to keep the people we love far from them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwUD2YCP...

Will the Real Church in America Please Stand Up 16.08.2021

There has been a lot of change over the past couple of days in our world. The Taliban has just taken over Afghanistan and Christians living in the country will now be sought after and killed for their faith. The government in Afghanistan has now been called "Inclusive Islamic." Of course that doesn't include Christians and foreigners. As many of our brothers and sisters prepare to be martyred, I h...

Are You Woke? 14.07.2021

On this episode, I will walk through what I believe is Biblical Wokeness, and the need for every believer to be woke. #woke #getwoke #wokechurch

Thoughts on The Southern Baptist Convention 2021 07.07.2021

It has been a few weeks now since the Southern Baptist Convention ended in Nashville, Tennessee, but the talk is just getting started. There are plenty of people talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly that went down at the annual convention. I have given my thoughts on what I saw take place on the floor of the Music City Center. With this being my first convention I didn't know what to expe...

A Day at an Abortion Mill 22.06.2021

For the first time ever I visited a Planned Parenthood, and to be honest, it was the first abortion mill I've ever visited, Planned Parenthood or other. What I saw was heartbreaking, the things I heard was heartbreaking, and the babies that were murdered in just a short amount of time was heartbreaking. We have to join the fight to end abortion. We can no longer sit and share Facebook posts about...
