Disney Compendium Vol. 11: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad 12.12.2018

The end of the 40s and the end of the package pictures.  Finally.  We are moving right along footloose and fancy free.  We end the 40s on a high note with the best of the package pictures and and the inspiration for one of the most memorable rides at the theme parks.  The hosts are free from their torture. Forever?

Disney Compendium Vol. 10: Melody Time 05.12.2018

Hi.  J.J. here.  I just needed to tell you that we are almost finished with this gauntlet.  This movie is is bad, but that's okay.  We both have a good head on our shoulders and won't crack under pressure.  Plus there aren't any ventriloquists this week, so that helps the sanity level.  Please enjoy this last bit of hard work and then it's off to the races.

Disney Compendium Vol. 9 Fun and Fancy Free 27.11.2018

4 movies into the gauntlet of 1940s package films and the hosts finally get a bone tossed to them.  A two part film and both are very good.  Dumbo 2: Grin and Bear It and Starving Mickey: A Giants Tale are breaths of fresh air. They still try to ruin it with ventriloquism though.

Disney Compendium Vol. 8: Make Mine Music 21.11.2018

Well.  The war is over.  That doesn't mean that the money is suddenly back.  Disney needs money and needs it now.  Put all the things we couldn't finish into one movie.  That one story where the dude murders the singing whale.  That should win back the kids.  Enjoy.  (Sorry about some of the spotty audio)

Disney Compendium Vol. 7: Three Caballeros 13.11.2018

Things are dire here at the Disney Compendium studios.  We are stuck in a feedback loop of Latin America themed features and must break the curse.  This time it's longer and that's both a blessing and curse.  But that's okay.  I'm certain next week we will be back to just normal single subject films.

Disney Compendium Vol. 6: Saludos Amigos 07.11.2018

HOOOOOO BOY.  This is just an ordeal.  The hosts don't know what to do with themselves.  A movie made with all the heart of a typical school short film, they wasted 42 minutes and might actually know less about Latin America than when they started. But at least this is all behind them now. Now let's just sit back, take a big sip of coffee and see what movie is next week...

Disney Compendium Vol. 5: Bambi 30.10.2018

The hosts were lost in the woods for several days and almost starved to death because Bambi taught them that hunting leads to 75 minutes of mostly nothing happening and a weird cash grab sequel.

Disney Compendium Vol. 4: Dumbo 23.10.2018

Two outcasts that are mocked show their strength by just keep moving forward despite clowns constantly mocking them. But enough about the hosts. Lets talk about a goofy big eared elephant.

Disney Compendium Vol. 3: Fantasia 15.10.2018

We are classically trained goofballs that love high art and there is no greater high art than Mickey Mouse being lazy and really really paying for it in the end.  So join us as we talk about that.

Disney Compendium Vol. 2: Pinocchio 10.10.2018

Some could argue the hosts have wooden heads but Pinocchio taught us all that it is okay and that nobody seems worried IN THE SLIGHTEST of wood people just hanging out.  Join us as we talk about the nightmares we are forced to endure in this 1940 classic.

Disney Compendium Vol. 1: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 01.10.2018

Disney Compendium is a unique cronological tour through the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios historic library of feature length animated films.  History, trivia, critiques, and banter.  Join us on this journey. In 1934 it was decided that the company was going to move away from short films and jump in the the uncharted waters of Feature Length animation.  It was a move that could have eith...
