WHOOPS! J.J. has been too busy to be able to put together the actual next Episode.  That's OK! Let's just wing it.  What can we talk about? Anything! The Past, The Present, and the Future of Compendium but mostly just two friends talkin' about Disney.  And fixing the top ranking lists.  It's fun! Enjoy!

Take one part Shakespeare and one part a classic Japanese anime/manga, smash them together, and you get your first "Completely Original Idea" from Disney! One of the most cherished and beloved movies from the company of all time.  How can we ruin this one! Let's see!

The hosts spend most of the time actually talking about two movies but really the focus is the 1992 classic Aladdin and there really isn't much to say that's funny here.  I'd use one of my 3 wishes to probably watch Aladdin. And lots of money.  Definitely lots of money. 

Now you can be OUR guest as we spend the next 2+ hours talking about a 85 minute film and don't care.  Sadly, no clocks join us in song.  Though you could say the hosts are a couple of dumbbells.

Released 4 years after the American People decided they were done with being interested in Australia, and the second movie in the Disney Renaissance, but sandwiched in between Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, this movie never stood a chance.  But is it good? Is it memorable?  Do the hosts even remember watching it?  Listen and find out!

Billy Joel in a Disney movie.  What could possibly go wrong? Somebody yelling OLIVER TWIST WITH DOGS is the only thing that got this movie greenlit and it shows.  Enjoy this journey with us.

One of the most significant films in the library of Disney.  Not for cultural impact, awards, or long term visibility, no.  It saved the animation studio from being shuttered and that's kinda big.  The hosts are here to enjoy this Vincent Price movie featuring other characters.  

The Eisner Era is upon us.  The hosts talk about the movie, but also just kinda talk about whatever they want that's not associated with the movie.  Is it great? Is it a dud? It's the most expensive cartoon Disney has made at the the time and they really went all in on everything except the plot.  The hosts lose the plot too, but that's to be expected.  

The hosts hope that you don't love this movie.  Because if you do, you're going to be cross with them.  A movie that is mostly just just a bad episode of "Fear Thy Neighbor" and you get the behind the scenes mess that is Fox and the Hound.  Based on an absolutely horrifying book that kills just everything that moves which is the opposite of this movie.

Boy.  We just don't remember any of this.  Two mice get entangled in a Goonies movie and some stuff goes down.  It's wild.

The most wonderful thing about podcasts, is podcasts are wonderful things.  Their hosts are made out of junk food, their rss feeds really sings.  Their talky, jokey, dopey, nerdy fun fun fun fun fun. But the most wonderful thing about podcasts is we're absolutely not the only one....

Look.  This is not hyperbole when I say this is probably the most significant Disney related podcast in the history of the format and I stand by that.  The hosts are here, and they are firing on all cylinders as the fabric of the Disney Animated Universe is torn asunder.

Jungle Book 2: Robin Hood is a curious case of Disney indulgence.  Endless heart and a pivotal scene consisting entirely of reused animation, this is the one true Cult Classic Disney animation.  A true love it or hate venture.

They learned their lesson.  101 dogs was too many.  That's just too many dogs. But this might also still be too many cats.  Especially the culturally insensitive one.  But still, if you love 101 Dalmatians and jazz music this is for you.

I don't think it's wise to take that boy to the human village.  He has no idea what's going on there and they will treat him horribly. He's used to living off of bugs and fruit.  Now he's gonna watch the village hunt his friends.  That won't go well.  Anyways.  Hakuna Matata I think.

Transported to an alternate universe where a nanny is the most powerful being in the universe and she uses her limitless powers to mess with well to do parents.  The hosts are going to do everything they can to not get on the bad side of this omnipotent force of chaos. 

The hosts embark on a journey to a time on swords and stones eternally retold.  I guess.  The sword and stone are only in the movie for about 90 seconds but that's okay.  You are given an extended look at the mating rituals of squirrels!  Join us, shall you?

You have to be careful looking this movie up on the internet.  They are very specific with 101 Dalmatians and One Hundred and One Dalmatians being totally different.  The hosts will argue the Simpsons adaption being better, but that's a different episode.  

The hosts watch the only Legend of Zelda movie that you will ever need to see.  A bunch of gorgeous scenery is on display while paper thin characters dance around and the entire plot hinges on a teenager using spinning wheel. It's a brilliant plan and nothing could ever go wrong.

Packed with more stereotypes than plot, the hosts share a big plate of conversation of the 1955 classic Lady and the Tramp and learn that the timeline of this movie is utter nonsense.

J.J. is lost and alone and abandoned by his host but that's okay because he's kidnapped from his home and put in a very dangerous involving pirates, bombs, and a very very jealous magical fairy.  It's a really bad situation but he makes it through.  Barely.

Disney decided it was time to stop having things called plot and sense and just adapt a nonsense story that's a stream on consciousness. And it was great.  We are all a little mad here and this movie just makes us even more so. 

God bless us everyone.  Scrooge, despite being named Scrooge, took his time to do a version of a Christmas and it was totally worth it and Goofy is the on Jacob Marley and the rest are just pretenders to the throne.  Please enjoy a very special non-sequential, non-canonical episode of Disney Compendium. 

The hosts rejoice.  The 40s are behind them and they will never have to go to the cartoon world of Latin America or 8 minutes of tug boats set to music.  They are free and they get to celebrate the comic Silver Age of Disney with on of their all time bests.  Sit back, gather up your mice, and sing along.
