Dinner With a Movie

We're wrapping up our Christmas movies this year with A Christmas Story. We reminisce on Christmases of old and share our feelings of Christmas cheer over a savory meal of duck, pickles, and cookies. Ralphie's stupid round face angers Jose, Blake wishes Mother Parker was his mommy, and Brandon invites ghosts into his house. Merry Christmas!

Welcome to the POLAR EXPRESSS! Jose's Christmas pick is all about believing in delicious hot chocolate, and we all made our own scrumptious versions of it along with some popcorn and cookies. This terrifying film full of Christmas cheer manages to bring us a lot of joy, and hero boy, hero girl, lonely boy, and know-it-all have all made it into our hearts.

We've got a special guest this week, our good friend from college Andrew Folkins joins us to talk about one of his most defining movies as we eat homemade clementine cake and any type of pizza that isn't Papa John's.

Just like the lovely family breakfast at the end of Captain Fantastic, we gather together for a healthy mean of locally sourced granola and apples! Brandon hates apples though because they hurt his teeth. Are parents cult leaders? Is Viggo Mortensen's penis a prosthetic? Probably.

After our full-length and incredibly draining marathon of all the Harry Potter movies this past weekend, we're joined by our good friend Brandon to discuss the movie that started it all, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Brandon made us some fresh squeezed pumpkin juice and Jose graced us with his baking skills and made some fresh pumpkin pasties and pumpkin pie for our pre-movie meal.

We continue our Karate lessons this week with The Art of Self Defense, one of Blake's favorite films within the last few years mainly because it taught him how to really truly be a man. In order to become the manliest men possible, we ate a plate of everything yellow, lemons, lemonheads, bananas, pineapple, and we topped it all off with a nice cup of black coffee.

HIYAH!! We have a guest this week who's ready to kick our butts in a grand discussion of The Karate Kid as we eat a hearty meal of Eggs, Bacon, Toast, and Milk.
