Some times truth can come across as cold and hard, would you agree?  Yes we know that truth is so important, but is there a way to bring forth truth in a loving way, in a way that will build the hearer up and not tear them down. Let's talk about grace and truth and how that might affect our lives and the lives of others. 

What if we only spoke the truth, where every word coming from our lips was only golden truth? What might that do to our lives?  At the very least let's talk about why we may lie and how to guard against that very distasteful habit. 

We all have those times where something can really set us off, set us off in anger or hurt that leads us to react harshly even to our own hurt and the hurt of others.  But here is the kicker, was what set us true and was our reaction based in truth.  Let's ponder more today about truth and lies. 

Let's consider what it is like to take a lie, and to bring it to God's truth. To take some darkness and run with it right into the Light, God's light. If we will, it will blow that lie away.  Today let's go through some daily likely lies and kill them off with truth...   

The thought that we may be operating, responding and acting out of lies, is not a very pleasant thought.  One that we might even just immediately reject out of hand.  Yet imagine how freeing it would be if we consciously identify and answer with truth any lies that come our way.  Let's do some truth homework today...   

The Bible speaks of the Belt of Truth, and that we are to put it on as our proper daily wear.  You could call it the Believers daily gear.  We are to be walking in truth. Let's start exploring just what that really means...   

Picture a Roman soldier, a fully dressed soldier, it would say that he is ready for action, ready to face, whatever would challenge him.  Jesus has actually promised that we would face troubles in this life, so in order to face those troubles we must be ready, and that is symbolized by the Soldiers belt. 

At times we my feel, in the struggles of our lives, that we are the only one that has such troubles. That somehow life is picking on us alone.  I'll bet you can guess what I am going to say, that it is just not true! Struggles, trails, temptations hit us all. But God has a plan, let's begin to look into that today...  

Listen to this, if someone has told you that the Christian walk will always be blue sky and rose peddle walk ways, well, that just is not true.  Standing up for your faith, walking in love and controlling the tongue, for instance, will require putting up a fight.  So what are we to do?  Let's talk about it today.... 

So who is the real enemy of our lives, who is it that wants to take away our peace and our joy and use up our lives wastefully?  What about the fallen angels, what are they up to and why would they want to disrupt our lives?  Let's take a good hard look at this and not be ignorant of the enemies schemes.

In so many ways we are standing on a battlefield, and no big surprise since we live in a fallen world and with a spiritual enemy that wants to take from us what God has lovingly given to us.  So naturally we need protection and the armor, God's armor so we can stand in victory, when the battle is won. Together now, let's search out God's Armor.     

Remember that old song, 'Let's hand on to what we've got?'  It's an oldie but goodie and as believers in Jesus Christ, we have been given a lot, but know this we need to hang on to it, or it can be stolen away from us.  Fortunately, we are taught to hang on to it with God's strength.  Let's consider this today.  

Amazing thought that how our submitting to the Lord and resisting the way the enemy would have us go, leads us to victory, the victory of the enemy running away and Gods way and blessings coming into our lives.  Let's think about some practical ways in which we can Submit to the Lord, Resist the devil and watch him run away...

Interesting that the Bible speaks to success against the devil begins in submitting, yes submitting to God, to His way and His will and His plan.  This is in direct opposition to the way that the devil would want us to go. We don't run off into battle by ourselves, honestly through submitting to the Lord, we end up standing behind out big Brother Jesus.  Let's consider that today...&nbsp...

The Bible teaches us that the person who can control their tongue is stronger than someone who can conquer a city.  One moment we can be sharing words of life and the next moment possibly sending out poison arrows.  Oh that we could properly filter, that God could help us filter our tongues.  Let's be blessed today as we seek God's help in this all important area of living.  

Get ready because this very day God may want to use your life in a special way.  Am I focused enough to see it?  Will I miss it through some distraction or fall to some temptation and completely loose out on a blessing prepared for me?  Let's think on that together, and focus in on staying alert for all that the Lord may have for us today.  

What is the one thing that anyone walking in darkness needs?  Why that would be 'a light!'  We are living in dark times in many ways, what would be the light that would cover that?  It is; the light of God's Word.  Apart from His light the slips, trips and falls of life are plentiful. So many unwanted possibilities could be avoided if we will use the Light given to us.
