Every job has its challenges… but also its rewards. In Matthew 10:32–42, Jesus makes it clear: the work He calls us into isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. Recognition, belonging, and eternal reward come to those who stay faithful in the field. The harvest is hard, but the payoff is greater than we can imagine.

Before you start a new job, there’s usually some training—and maybe even a safety briefing. In Matthew 10, Jesus gives His disciples both: first the job description then the hazard report . Following Him means stepping into the work, but also being prepared for the risks that come with it. This week’s sermon unpacks what that looks like for us today.

Was the ministry of Jesus intended to end with him? What about with his 12 closest disciples? Did it end with them? No, we don't think so! This week, we looked at how Chapter 10 is a direct response to the end of Chapter 9. Jesus sent his disciples out to work the field with him. That means us!

What if Jesus is waiting on you ? In Matthew 9, Jesus looks at the broken, hurting crowds with gut-wrenching compassion and says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” What if he’s saying that to us today? This week’s message is a call to step off the sidelines and into the field with Jesus.

This week, we welcomed back guest speaker Gerry Wilms, who walked us through 2 Peter 1:3–11, where Peter, now older and wiser, shows us what it really looks like to grow in godly virtue. How do we actually grow in our faith? What steps can we take to see real change in our lives? Gerry breaks it down and helps us see how Peter’s wisdom still speaks powerfully to us today.

This Sunday, Carlin Fehr shared a message with us that he's been pondering over a busy week.
