We land on the central beatitude, on which those before and those after hang, challenging believers to long for God's righteousness and will be seen to share the heart of God with others.

We are happy when we recognize sadness in life and can see the goodness of God and His comfort in it.

God is both powerful and beautiful, and His promises are time! As a response, we worship Him through confession, reflecting on His grace and sacrifice, and believing that His Gospel is for us.

We worship God in spirit and in truth, recognizing that God is God, that we are not, and that God is worthy of our praise.

The life of Joseph shows us that despite how dark the season in which we are living proves to be, God will redeem that season because He is sovereign and He is good.

As believers, the Holy Spirit empowers us to live peaceably with others, genuinely sharing life and community with other believers, and graciously extending kindness to those who treat us poorly,

As Jacob blesses Joseph's sons, we see a beautiful picture of our God who is faithful throughout generations and throughout brokenness to shine His love and grace.

The life of Jacob reminds us of the ephemeral nature of life in a broken world. The care of God (and his faithful covenant-keeping) breathes life into our bones. And the life, death and resurrection of Jesus offers us eternal life, a place with him forever.

Joseph makes his true identity known, revealing God's plan to use his brother's actions to preserve life and demonstrate God's common grace to all.

Joseph doesn't need revenge because he trusts God's plan rather than taking all into his own hands. Providence saturates the story from start to finish. We are not at the mercy of karma or fate; providence is God's mercy for us to inject hope in the middle of a story with no end in sight.

As Joseph watches the fulfillment of God's promises and the consequences of his brothers actions, we see the life-altering significance of the reconciliation that is possible because of the faithfulness of God. Through this unfolding, we see the power of God to heal, the invitation of followers to repent, and the freedom to then receive and extend mercy.

The challenges and hardships of life do not have to define us. We are shaped by God's grace and mercy as He works in and through our lives.

From Joseph being brought up from the dungeon to a place of prominence in Pharaoh's court, we see that we serve a big God who sees us and who does not waste any part of our lives in His story of redemption.

Though he was forgotten by his family and acquaintances, Joseph remained steadfast, trusting in the goodness and faithfulness of God to remember him through trials.

Our God is willing to wrestles with us to humble us and grow us closer to Him.

We look at the providential guidance of God in Joseph's life, guiding him in righteousness and wisdom, empowering him to lead others well.

As we reflect on the life of Joseph, we can see God's sovereignty and redemption, working in every broken place to bring about His will and redemption.
