The redeeming grace of God is not only the finished work of redemption that Christ completed by being born into this world and dying on the cross, but He also continues to bring light into the dark places of life.

Jesus was born during the unstable, chaotic times of Herod, yet serves as a reminder of how od is working through all human events to bring redemption in brokenness.

Good graciously works through those outside of His family to reveal His Son miraculously to the world.

The hope of Immanuel is that Jesus came in the flesh to save, restore, and be present among us.

Advent is a time to reflect on how Christ came as the fulfillment of God's promise, and through Him, we are part of an eternal Kingdom and family in which Jesus stands on our behalf.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus cautions us three times to not be anxious, but to consider how he cares for the Creation daily and to seek His Kingdom.

Whenever our hearts are aligned to Christ, our lives and our walk will follow.

We are reminded that Christ should be our ultimate treasure and to be generous with what God has given us, because we serve a God who has been abundantly generous to us.

Because of the Gospel, we are marked as people who are redeemed and fully forgiven. This undeserved gift of forgiveness is a cornerstone in our identity, our walk, and our response to those around us. We have an assurance of our complete, unfailing salvation and a freedom to approach God, as well as a gift of grace and salvation to people in our lives.

We are reminded to seek God daily with our cares and burdens because He is our Provider and desires a personal relationship with us.

Jesus offers an example of how we should pray and begins with a reminder that God's holiness should be the center and His glory should be the focus of our lives

Because of the Gospel, we can come to God confidently with our prayers - not with vain showiness or empty reputations, but with sincerity and love to our Father.

Jesus offers a warning for when we give, pray, or fast, the it should not be apart us individually; the focus should be on the personal relationships involved in each.

We are called to be a people who live out the love of God in the way that He has loved us, and the same Spirit that was with Christ as He prayed on the cross, empowers us to love others in the same way.

Jesus teaches us generosity in grace as a way of life , instead of seeking revenge when others wrong us.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live truthfully with others - being honest in our words, open in our relationships, and generous in our dealings.

Jesus came to give life and freedom from the bonds of sin, wherein our hearts struggle, giving us hope from guilt and shame, and giving us a new beginning through His grace.

Anger can be a powerful force in our hearts. When we give a place to anger, it can take hold and disrupt our relationships. However, God can work in us to grant peace in the place of that anger.

Jesus teaches how He fulfills the purpose of the law and prophets of the Old Testament and gives us what we need to follow from a heart level.

Jesus spoke on the mount about how His followers have the power of being salt and light in the world, pointing others to Him.

We know that we, like Jesus, will be persecuted while on earth; we can have joy that through this are drawn near to God and given the gift of a greater hope for out reward of eternity with God. Because of this perspective, we can fix our eyes on Christ, knowing that He has suffered in our place and shown us the good news of the Gospel.

We live in a world that is rife with conflict. The good news for those who have been adopted into the family of God is that through Jesus we have been given both a way and example to be peacemakers: not by avoiding conflict, but by seeking love and restoration, since we have received the most peace of all.

When we can mourn the brokenness in the world, God begins a transformation in the hearts of believers where we can focus on Him and see glimpses of His goodness at work around us.

Seeing and acknowledging our sin prompts us to be merciful and show compassion to others as sinners in need of God's grace.
