The arrest betrayal, various unjust trials, and ultimately the crucifixion, death and burial of our savior Christ

Main idea in all of these Psalms is trusting in God's will for your life. The reason we can trust him is because of Christ. Look at what Christ has done for you on the cross and we know that he will also graciously give us all things.

Jesus prays this prayer so that we can know what is in his heart! He prays for himself, for his disciples, and for his church. He prays that he would receive glory again. That we would be kept and protected. He wants us to know that we are one with him and for that to bring us joy. He shows the process of knowing him comes through the Word, and that we will be with him soon. What a savior we have!

Jesus teaches his disciples that true belief looks like a vine and a branch. If you don't remain in the vine, then you will prove that you were never apart of Christ. We prove our genuineness through obedience and our obedience is summed up with Love. 1 Corinthians 13 reminds us what this love is. The second main thing we see is the role of the Holy Spirit in believers. To comfort and convict.

Jesus teaches on love and sacrifical servant leadership. We begin to see the purpose of all things in the glory of God. Jesus comforts his disciples with a teaching on the end, the Holy Spirit, and the resurrection.

Different responses to Jesus. Reasons for the cross, and for the rejection of it. A prophecy fulfilled in all 4 gospels.

Jesus is the Resurrection and the life, and through his death is the end of death. Christ's death is the death of death as smart theologians say. This should bring you comfort. We see Jesus' emotions which remind us how he sympathizes with us. Hebrews 4:14-16

A story of genuine gospel transformation can't be denied by anyone! Although many will try they do so unreasonably. Jesus is our good shepherd and only his elect will hear his voice and follow him out. Jesus grace is irresistible to those who already belong to him since the foundation of the world. He will never let his sheep go, but they will persevere to the end if they have been called.

Jesus reveals hypocrisy. Pharisees didn't think their sin was as bad as others. Jesus proves who he is and why his testimony about himself is valid. Jesus clearly teaches who he is, who they are and what someone must do to have eternal life.

John 7 is about a rising hatred for Jesus Christ. We see his teaching amids doubt and hostility. We see 5 justifications for his ministry and 5 responses to the Savior that are still relevant today.

All about Salvation Feeding 5,000 and walking on water sets up some foundational spiritual truths. Salvation is about belief and some don't believe, not because they won't, but because they can't because the Father has not drawn them.

Jesus is master of time and disease. He is equal to God and proves that over and over. 4 things testify to the deity of Christ: John the Baptist, His works, the Father, and scripture. There is only one thing holding the pharisees back (and many today) from salvation, and that is living for the temporary glory of men rather then living for the eternal glory of God.

The gospel of Jesus is for everyone. From the religious ruler (Nicodemus) to the Samaritan woman (ch. 4). He shows the need to believe and that belief involves obedience.

Jesus is God and that is the main reason John writes this gospel. That people would know that and believe it, because without believing it they would not be saved. He changes water to wine to display his glory. He cleanses the temple to show his heart for genuine worship of the Father. He knows what is in the heart of every man so come to him and confess your sins!

Imprecatory Psalms help us see what righteous anger really looks like. Other psalms help us praise God and think rightly about righteous living. There are so many reasons to praise God!

Paul instructs Timothy in a variety of topics. From training himself for godliness, to dealing with widows in the congregation and many more significant issues. This shows us the authority of the pastor in the life of the church. It also shows us the importance of family life in the local congregation. Watch out for money and pastors who are tempted by greed for it produces all kind of evil!

1 Timothy deals with so many issues, but it's two primary themes are the Gospel of Christ, and the Word of God! Do you depend on those two things as much as Paul. Strive for that in your life.

What a great book! Be comforted by an unusual train of thought. Learn about the rapture and day of the Lord. And see how Paul corrects a church. All in 3 short chapters!

Did Paul's converts last through the suffering? Timothy says they did, and they are thriving in love! God is sovereign over peoples salvation and sanctification so pray to that end. They were experts in love, but may have been living in a holy huddle. Don't worry about the dead in Christ, they are happily with God and will take part in the rapture as those who last until the end. The Day o...

Paul prays! Paul loves his ministry team. Pauls talks about the evidences of faith in Thessalonica and his strategy for ministry in Chapter 2.

Paul is so grateful to God for this church. He wants Christ to make them more into his image. He warns them about worldy thoughts that would take them off the path, and helps them see an incredible picture the church in 3:12-17.

Why didn’t Paul evangelize Malta? The gospel includes discipleship.

A ship journey, aka voyage, gone wrong, but under the sovereign hand of God what can go wrong? Paul has a gospel appointment and nothing can stop God from getting him there. Paul gets to encourage the men and be a witness because of his faith in the promise of God.
