Daily Psalms for Lent
Daily Psalms for Lent is a devotional podcast from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mattoon, Illinois, hosted by Cantor Peter Eckardt. Throughout the season of Lent, each episode presents a psalm sung using the King James Version and traditional Gregorian chant tones. Following the psalm, brief devotional excerpts from St. Augustine and Martin Luther offer theological reflection and meditation. This series is designed to provide a simple, achievable, and timeless way to pray the Psalms during Lent—to hear, meditate upon, and dwell in the Word of God given to His people in the Psalter.
