Having someone in your life that can help guide and encourage you is a gift from God! This episode begins the story of Paul and Timothy.  Paul thought of Timothy as a son and wanted him to be equipped with encouragement for the journey that was ahead.

We all have emotions!  They are both positive and negative emotions that reside in each of us. How do we handle the negative emotions, though?  This episode shows us that if not dealt with properly it can damage the lives of others. We will peer into the lives of the Royal family and see how improper care of emotions can lead to sin and utter devastation.

What do you do when opposition rises in the church regarding worship? Let's take a look at how the church resolved the issue of circumcision for the new believers, the Gentiles.

Paul and Barnabas persisted in preaching the good news despite the opposition they faced. Their example is one for us, too.  We should not allow intimidation or the threat of attacks prevent us for continuing the spread of the gospel.  Let's be resilient and resist the temptation to throw in the towel.  Souls are depending on our dedication to the mission.

On this journey misunderstandings will occur.  There will be opinion that are incorrect due to faulty thinking.  When this happens it could put a halt in the mission, but persist and seek to bring correction without compromising the message.  When people refuse to hear they can be easily influenced to change their view of you resulting in persecution.  How would you handle this...

The word of God will work in a receptive heart.  But, those who refuse it will try to stir others against you and poison their minds in order to stop the message from being received.  Paul and Barnabas faced this type of opposition.  You may, too.  Let's see how they handled it.

In this episode we will see a motive for opposition.  Sometimes the message is opposed because its effect is so powerful and it draws people near to hear.  Not all who are hearing, though, are receiving.  Some or being filled with jealousy.   This episode takes a look at how the Saul (Paul) and Barnabas responded to this type of opposition.

In this episode, we will consider the question Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do you say I am?"  It's important for us to have an answer to that question as well.

Everyone has had to answer the question, "What do you want?"  Sometimes we know and sometimes we do not.  It is critical that we begin to consider how we respond to this question when it comes to our relationship with the Father.  Jesus asked this question.  How will you answer? 

Everybody has experience in worry.  Jesus has told us not to worry about our life.  He asked why do we worry...?  Is it because we lack trust in God to provide?  Do you know that worrying does not benefit us at all. Jesus asked His disciples, "Where is your faith?" The issue is always faith!  We go back and forth from believing and doubting the provisions and protection of God.  During those moments of stress we tend to forget what God has said and we permit what we see or hear from opposing forces to take control.  It is in those times that we need to evaluate our faith - where is it?  

On this journey with Jesus we will explore some questions that He asked and consider our response to them. The journey begins in Luke Chapter 2 with the question, "Why were you searching for Me?"  Mary had a motive.  What's yours?

Without God there can be no real peace.  The peace of God is needed so that we can have peace with Him.

God has promised peace to all who trust in Him!  You can have peace, not the world's kind of peace, but God's peace!  

God has forgiven us! But, have we accepted His forgiveness? This is evident in how we extend forgiveness to others. God is very concerned about forgiveness and He expects us to be forgiving. Jesus tells a parable that demonstrates just how important forgiving others is to God and what consequences await us when we fail to do so.

Forgiveness is a key component of the believer's life.  It is part of the DNA of God's family.  We are told that we are to forgive as God has forgiven us.  Yet, we struggle with forgiving.  In this episode we will explore some reasons why we find it difficult and see some results of not forgiving.
