Sex is not a god. Sex is not gross. Sex is a gift to married couples for the purpose of bringing oneness through renewing their covenant and serving one another.

God created husbands and wives with distinct roles that together reflect the image of God. The husband’s role is to be a servant-leader who loves his wife as Christ loves the church. The wife’s role is to be the strong-helper who respects her husband in such a way as to enable his leadership to flourish.

To be married means to put your spouse above all others as a priority because your primary relationship has the power to set the course of your life. This is God's plan and order for your life.

The key to a great marriage is a great friendship. All other aspects of marriage flow from friendship. This is why God designed marriage; so we would walk in intimacy and not be alone.

Marriage is not designed as a contract to give you what you want. It is a covenant relationship that is based on us serving the one we’re committed to regardless of the return.

With God’s help you can have a new marriage with the same spouse. In order to get a new marriage, YOU need to be a new spouse. In order to be a new spouse, you need to deal with your own selfishness and place Jesus at the center of your life.

Study of Mark: Jesus is RISEN! Because He is alive, we have the opportunity to REthink our expectations, our value, our priorities, our identity and our mission. With Jesus the impossible is possible.

What if we realized the opportunity we've been given to join with Jesus in loving those who need help the most by giving an unbelievable present, Jesus Himself?

What if we celebrated and gave more of the best gift of all that God first demonstrated for us: the gift of presence?

What if we chose the Kingdom of Emmanuel over the Kingdom of Consumption and let that influence where we stop and worship this Christmas?

What if we spent a little less on the stuff that doesn't matter, choosing instead to give more of our time to the people we love and more of our resources to the people who have nothing?
