Jesus is the Holy One of God who alone possesses the words of eternal life and has chosen us for Himself. When we know (believe) this we will be able to follow Him even when what He asks of us is difficult or confusing.

Jesus is the Bread of Life who satisfies our deepest hunger and is God’s answer to our loneliness.

Jesus is the Light of the World.

Jesus is the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world.

Our God is faithful. Jesus demonstrated faithfulness in his obedience to His Father’s will. God’s people experience and demonstrate faithfulness in the way they live.

God is our rock; a firm place to stand and a secure place to hide. If we build our life upon Jesus as the rock, we can be assured that we have a sure foundation and a strong fortress.

God is the perfect father who generously provides for, keeps his word to and never abandons his children. When we’ve failed or have been failed, He is the perfect father who forgives and pursues his children.

God can be known and wants to be known. The proof is that God secured his presence with us through His Son and gives us the Holy Spirit so we would walk daily in His presence.

Jesus is the creator of everything. Because He creates all things, everything points to Him, everything is under His authority, and everything rests on Him.

Critics of Christianity say the church is full of hypocritical, judgmental, intolerant fanatics. But Jesus uses His authority not to condemn, but to save. Anyone who truly follows Him will look for opportunities to extend grace and expect to see transformed lives.

Critics of Christianity say that faith in God has led Christians to injustice and, therefore, it should be rejected. But the God of the Bible chooses the poor, and anyone who truly believes will care for the poor and marginalized as a way of life.

Critics of Christianity say that belief in God is a straightjacket that takes away freedom of thought and action, but there’s no such thing as freedom without truth. The most liberating freedom is love, which is the basis of a relationship with God.

Critics of Christianity say that the Bible is full of inaccuracies and therefore cannot be reliable, but we have great reasons to trust the Bible’s authority historically, culturally and personally.

Critics say that science has disproven Christianity, but our Faith is not undermined by science. Our God wants us to know Him and also seek to understand the universe in which He has placed us. Science helps us do that, and science and Christianity can be in harmony.

Critics say that a loving God would never send people to hell. But the Christian belief in hell is essential to knowing our own hearts and knowing the love of God.

The only way to understand and endure evil and suffering is not to abandon belief in God but to shift the purpose, responsibility, and solution of evil in the world.

Critics of Christianity say that religion divides and should be thrown out or marginalized. But only Christianity has the capacity to defeat the divisiveness of religion.

One of God’s ultimate desires for His people is that we would live with the awareness that there is very little we can control, but that He has control over everything.

God has a purpose for trials; so don’t avoid them when they come, but let them work.

God’s will for His people is for them to live a life of tangible love so that the world would know what God is like and give Him glory. We show tangible love through our relationships, environments and acts of service.

Everyone worships something. Your life is a direct product of what you worship. Your worship is a direct result of what story you most believe.

Just as God vindicated Noah and his family through the flood waters after He endured suffering from a sinful generation, God too will save those whose faith is in Jesus. He will give them the power to endure just as He does for us.

If we understand the value of the gospel, it will show up by the way we sacrifice for God's family, bless when others curse us, and point to Jesus as the source of our hope.
