The door is open to all people but it is narrow. Salvation isn't about doing, but trusting in the Lord; make every effort to trust the Gospel. 

August 17, 2022 - What is anger and what role should it play in the life of the Christian? Are we allowed to be angry? Who/what should be we be angry at?

This week is a special service for the installation of our principal, Dan Dueck, and preparing for the first day of school. The focus of the message is on teaching the faith to our children, so that they do not fear, but approach this world with full confidence in God’s love and truth.

It’s a question we’ve wondered about and wrestled with for many years. I don’t expect this short rambling video to stop the question from being asked. Instead, these are simply my thoughts on the matter.

This is a continuation of last week’s message, only covering the inverse. Whereas last week Jesus warned us not to take pride in our abundance, this week Jesus teaches us not to despair over what we lack. He is the God who provides.

August 3, 2022 - As we look at Philippians 3:12 -14, we see the encouragement to press on. We don't stop when we're tired. We stop when we're finished. Thanks be to God that the prize is well worth it and that even in the midst of our exhaustion, He gives us moments of rest and restoration.

The default position of a person’s heart is set to selfishness. From childhood and on, we tend to exhibit the “mine” mentality. In our Scripture lessons today, we learn that setting our hearts on things that do not last is foolhardy. Instead, we have a greater treasure in Christ.

July 27, 2022 - Isaiah 44 is, in my mind, one of the funniest chapters in Scripture. God lays out just how absurd it is for people to worship created things instead of the Creator of all things. If you’re in control of the god you worship, it ain’t the real God.

This week, we welcome Pastor Jack Schneider who will share a message on the importance of talking with Jesus. Rather than talking WITH others, many people are busy talking TO or even AT them. We will focus on what it means to Talk With Jesus and receive the blessings He promises to us.

July 20, 2022 - We’re exploring just the first few verses from Psalm 25, and packed away in these short verses is a great Gospel message of God’s power, His love, and the salvation He gives to us in Jesus Christ.

This week, we welcome Pastor Russ Wiese who will share a message on the importance of resting in Jesus and trusting in His Word.

As we continue to look at Joshua 10, we read about kings hiding in a cave. Oddly enough, it’s a common occurrence. David hid in a cave to escape Saul. These Amorite kings hid in a cave in a vain attempt to escape from Joshua. Jesus went into a cave (tomb), not to escape anything, but to defeat death itself.

In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus gives an example of being a good neighbor those around us. More than that, He shows us that eternal life is not something we earn, but something that is given freely to us.

July 6, 2022 - In Joshua 10, the sun stands still... but as amazing as that is, it's not the most incredible thing that happens in this chapter. Instead, we see God "heeding" the voice of a man.

God has called us into His harvest field, sharing the Good News of Christ with those in our homes and communities. This is certainly a great responsibility, but it is also a great honor to be sent with the Word that gives life.

June 29, 2022 - Mornings with Martin - Christian Response to Dobbs

When we hear the words “follow me” as a command from Christ, it is a difficult thing to do. Our sin hinders us from that calling. So we also need to hear those same words as an invitation, that we can rest in the cross He suffered for us, outside the empty grave He overcame for us, and in the promise of everlasting life through Jesus.

June 22, 2022 - Throughout Scripture, the term "cup" is used to describe both God's blessing and God's wrath. Christ has consumed the cup of wrath so to provide for us the cup of blessing.

This Sunday, we marvel at Jesus as He changes the lives of those who interact with Him. He changed the demon-possessed man, and He changes us today with the power of His Word.

June 15, 20222 - We're having fun at Vacation Bible School this week, and our theme is "Treasured." It reminds us of Christ's parable in Matthew 13 about the treasure in the field.

June 12, 2022 Sermon - Trinity Sunday: As we celebrate Trinity Sunday, we remember the creeds of the Church, written to give a clear and concise statement of the Christian faith. In each creed, the article that takes the most time and is given the most attention is answering the question: who is Jesus? That’s the most important question for us because it determines our eternity.

June 8, 2022 - As we reflect on the first verses of Psalm 65, we hear a lot of themes and prophecies from both OT and NT. It’s a great reminder that what God said way back in David’s time, He still means for us today. His promise to answer prayer and to forgive sins is just as true now as it was then. How is this so? Through Jesus Christ!
