● Another sabbath brings legalism, a withered hand and a challenge. ● To the seemingly invisible person compassion is shown. ● There is hope for the  bruised reed and a smoldering wick.

When we encounter Jesus through a Spirit born believer, direction is provided, opportunities  are given and questions asked, can lead to eternal results.

Jesus brings teaching moments, compassionate moments and times for our faith to rise.

When we encounter Jesus through His Church,  we often want what we see and hear, but God shows us what we really need.

Jesus meets you where you are and overcomes your doubts by showing you

Main Point:  When in the cave, in the midst of fear and temptation God brings perspective, mercy and opportunity.

In every trial, hold fast to God’s Word through prayer, knowing that Christ holds you steady and provides the strength you need to keep going when you are weak.

Because The Lord does not change and His word is true, He prepares and transforms me for what is up ahead.

The hope of the gospel is not that God preserves the strong, but that Christ lovingly secures and directs His people even in their weakness.  We are called to stop resting our security in our own strength and trust Christ to lovingly lead, preserve, and hold His people secure even in our weakness.

Every form of security outside of Christ will crumble. Therefore, place your whole life into the hands of Jesus Christ, because only He will hold you fast, forgive you fully, and carry you safely into your future.

When anguish and distress intensifies, God calls us to stop looking for safety in what we can control, and to take refuge in Christ (psalm 59) —trusting Him to preserve you against every threat.

When you are tempted by the success of another, flee the comparison trap and turn to King Jesus by living humbly before Him.

When facing the enormous, trust in King Jesus, and be  faithful  like him.

Let the resurrection of Jesus Christ assure you that Christ loves you and lives to forgive you and renew in you a dynamic relationship with Him.  

1 Samuel 15-16 invites us to believe in God's promises and obey His commands through the indwelling Spirit at work in us.

In the middle of a battle it’s Grace that brings life, and the law that breeds death and the intercessor stands in the gap.

God is not limited by many or few but He  gives us what we need, then blesses it as we take Him at His promise.

Since Jesus alone is the perfect King after God’s own heart, when troubles come, our only safe response is to repent of trusting ourselves and follow Him with undivided hearts.

The Lord is sovereign over history, and we must remember, retell and not forget His saving acts if we are to remain faithful, obedient and fruitful in the purposes of God.

Yahweh-God delivers his people again - but He does so through a king the people demanded rather than the true King He ultimately intends to give them.

Having the right King in our lives, and aligning ourselves to the faithful, is the direction God has for us.

God takes His diverse people, changes their heart, directs their steps and uses them for His Glory.

Saul lost his donkeys, but God’s kingdom found him.

Jesus teaches us how to pray to rekindle our awe of who God is and renew our awareness of His active presence in our everyday lives.

 In understanding scripture, we see that our Father through Jesus causes a growing anticipation that sustains us while we walk through this life into the next.
