It’s through yielding our grief that we journey toward healing from grief. We must surrender our grief to God if we’re going to grieve well, because when we make that choice, it’s a mark of trust.

How do we walk through struggle? Articulate your struggle, questions, and doubts to God. Bring other trusted of followers of Jesus into the struggle with you. Cling to Jesus.

Good grief articulates the sorrow you experience. Healthy lament needs to be put to words—we must name our grief.

Tears are not a sign of weakness or unbelief. Tears are a release valve for your pain. If you’re in grief, cry out to God, and let other people help.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to participate in generational discipleship—leading kids and teens toward Jesus. What step can you take to make a spiritual investment in the next generation?

Through Jesus, new life is found today. Jesus wants to renew what is broken in you.

Jesus came to proclaim a season of God’s abundant grace, and God still extends his grace to you and me today. Are you in need of the healer today?

If Jesus is our Savior, he is also our sanctifier. God wants to transform us into what we have already been declared to be in Christ—it’s the work of sanctification that he is doing.

Keeping our eyes on Jesus is the point of Advent, yet it seems so hard in this season to do that. We can find hope in the truth that Jesus is our Savior.

One day when God sets everything back to right, we will no longer struggle with competing identities. We will be people of God’s possession. Period.

Pastor Andrew Wilson recently talked with Rick Stein about the importance of peacemaking and reconciliation. We believe the Spirit of God is at work in our church, and may we seek forgiveness as we have been forgiven with the help of Jesus.

God, where are you at work around us and in the people around us? Where can we partner with you in your mission?

We need to walk through five key stages in the process of reconciliation. And don’t underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit as you practice forgiveness and repentance along the way.

When we reconcile, we intentionally live out the good news of Jesus. Through reconciliation, we step into loving others the way Christ has loved us.

We reconcile out of love for Jesus and for one another—and we do so voluntarily and because we’ve been loved by God.

Reconciliation is possible because we now have an identity that’s been transformed by Jesus. When we pursue reconciliation, we’re living out the good news of Jesus that we say we’ve received.

We deepen in our relationship with Jesus when we grow more fully in our apprenticeship to him.

Real communication with God will produce stability and grow your character. It does more than just make you feel close to God—it transforms you and births the likeness of Christ in you.

A deeper walk with God comes from seeking God and loving God with everything you have and are—your heart, will, affections, desires, dreams, everything about you.

We live in a world filled with loneliness. But through Jesus, God becomes our friend. And you can be friends with God because you are the object of his love.

If you want to deepen your relationship with God, it’s going to take an incredible amount of honesty. God seeks relationship with those who are honest and who will speak truth about themselves.

God wants to know you way more than you could ever desire to know him. So how do we know God and build a life-transforming relationship with Jesus?

We didn’t physically witness with our eyes Jesus’ death and resurrection, yet we are called to be his witnesses. Consider what that looks like for us in this week’s message.

Active membership is an invitation to commit to participate in the local church family where God has called you. It means participation in a family, and we’re a microcosm of the universal family of God.

We come to experience God’s grace through communion and baptism. As God’s new covenant family—the church—we participate in communion and baptism on a regular basis.
