Guns Guns Guns! Wrong stocks and incorrect grips! Guns Guns Guns! The person who wrote this clearly didn't know sh**! About Guns Guns Guns! If you are looking for and anime that features a vast knowledge about guns and gun parts then keep on looking because this week features no such anime. Instead we got one where someone stole their kids gun drawings that they hung on their fridge and mashed it...

Its finally happened!! We finally record an episode in person! confetti noises And in true CAS fashion we have some of the worst anime to discuss this week. Both shows decide to have really interesting premises and then immediately send them to the shadow realm! It would be unbelievable if it didn't happen at an alarming rate. Nonetheless we make the most of our time together by giving the most co...

What do you get when you cross the animation of Ex-Arm with the weapon concept art if a 7 year old who can not decide if a sword or gun is the most effective weapon? Unfortunately you get exactly what you would expect in the anime Rusted Armor which delivers about as much excitement as listening to C-SPAN for 24 hours straight. Of course its competitor, Orient, sure tries its hardest to convince m...

We are back and sadder than ever at the state of anime as we get ready for another season of CAS! We've got an anime that uses only the worst parts of 50 shades of Gray! We've got an anime sure to impress even the most skeptical of anime watchers as it has a lower budget than Ex-Arm. We have even got an anime where reviewers cant agree if its pro or anti on the stance that it takes! Which stance i...

Riot finally did it. They finally made there lore into an anime and it only took them checks notes SIX YEARS?!?!?! AND HOW MUCH MONEY?!?!?! Well then i am sure this has to be the best anime to ever be created right? That is what we three discuss in this extra long episode in which we dive into every nook and cranny we can to pick Arcane apart and see what its made of. Its made of mostly Jinx with...

Thus is it. One more episode and we will be the farthest from our first episode we have ever been. It has been one heck of a season, but as this episode will show you we are pretty darn good at advancing the correct anime to the finals. Don't worry though. There is still enough anime left to laugh about! We are glad to have completed another season and look forward to Season 7 and hope you will jo...

If you take a look at the 1 hour time difference between last weeks and this week you might think to yourself, " If they said the episode was long last weeks was because it was amazing, does it means that this week sucks?" The short answer is absolutely. The long answer is that we are not perfect when we puck our anime as is evident if you have followed along this far. This week just so happens to...

Now before your day anything I totally understand you thinking 2 and a half hours is a long time for a podcast, can it really be that entertaining and funny. Well I have an answer for you but it is hidden somewhere in this episode. You may even need to listen to it multiple times to find out. I can say this final episode is like a Tyson vs Holyfield bout as two of the best crappy anime go toe to t...

Well we got some good news and some bad news. The good news is this is another banger of a week in a row of excitingly bad anime! The bad news is this is still Crappy Anime Showdown and thus the bar is set almost to the ground. Nonetheless Tesla Notes decides to continues to mock the legacy of its namesake at every corner. And Takt OP proves once and for all you do not have to know a thing about m...

This season justs keep getting better and better and this episode is now different! A battle between two possible finalists happens in the semi-finals with only one moving forward. Did we choose the anime in which Otakus dunk on themselves into oblivion while seemingly oblivious to that fact. Or did we choose the overtly racist vampire space program featuring a girl a vampire with stockholm syndro...

Description Coming Soon!

I can not imagine Thomas Edison is doing anything but rolling in his grave after this weeks anime. Why Edison you ask? I just assumed with him taking all of Teslas other inventions he would steal the anime based on them as well. If that is the case this is the first won Tesla has had in a while. On the other side of things Platinum End is a show about suicide and becoming a god after killing yours...

Here we are again folks at another CAS crossroads. The intersection of oh my gosh this is all just fluff avenue and Gurren Lagann rip off road. Two anime that seemingly want to give absolutely nothing new to this world but want to suck money away from potentially different anime because some weirdos in suits promise this will sell. The worst part is that they are correct and thus the slop continue...

Rumpus Grumpus is an anime that once and for all proves that it is not ok to take any hobby and make it your personality. There is nothing inherently wrong with liking anime but that doesn't mean we should go around screaming Baka at everyone we meet. On the other side of things I am pretty sure Deep insanity is just one giant Go Army recruitment video and that too is kind of creepy. Who wins out...

Season 6 selection time!! You know what that means!! Not only is it a 2+ hour episode, but we are also at the apex of the first hill of a roller coaster. Whether this is a fun roller coaster, or one that creates existential dread within us all is up to the 8 anime we selected. Odds are it will be at least a little bit of both, but here is hoping more of the former! We hope you get as pumped as we...

Have you ever been caught cheating by a teacher because you copied your friend's homework but change the answers to make them a little worse. Well that's what it feels like Pacific Rim: The Black did to its predecessor. In what can only be described as making an anime version of a movie, this does not fail to deliver with bad voice acting and funny moments that are treated as serious plot points....

It is in times like these where I wish I could muster up a speech such as Braveheart and tell you that bad anime may take our lives, but it can never kill our joy!!! But I am going to be honest with you this rundown sure took one hell of a swing at our joy. I mean it is mostly our fault as we are getting better at letting the best terrible anime to make it to the final. Nevertheless we made it thr...

THIS! THIS RIGHT HERE!! This is why we do what we do on this show. One of these benchwarmers is the cream of the crop when it comes to entertainingly bad anime. One of these anime is the reason we all get out of bed in the morning and routinely suffer. One could argue that at this point we are just perpetuating a sunk cost fallacy and I would have to agree. We can not, however, let that stop us an...

Sometimes you sit down and you watch a movie like Rocky and the whole time you are rooting for the underdog. You are cheering for Balboa to overcome immense odds and come out on top and even if he loses you will still have more respect for him after following his journey. However, there are times you sit down and watch a movie like Expendables because you wanna watch the good guys just smash the b...

LETS DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!!! Well actually its more like the time butthole but I digress. Scarlet Nexus comes in blazing hot in this episode chock full of absolutely ridiculous political nonsense and a plot more convoluted that the After Earth movie. Drugstore tries to not pull any punches as our heroic pharmacist enters the sport fixing and arms dealing world. What a treat we are all in for! Fi...

"The world isn't perfect. But it's there for us, doing the best it can....that's what makes it so damn beautiful." ~ Roy Mustang (Full Metal Alchemist) Now I know what you are thinking. That by leading with that quote is am validating not only this weeks anime but all of the anime that we watch on this show. I have but one rey to that. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!?! Absolutely not!! Did you even rea...

"Almost all Japanese animation is produced with hardly any basis taken from observing real people, you know. It’s produced by humans who can’t stand looking at other humans. And that’s why the industry is full of otaku!" - Hiyao Miyuzaki There could not be a more apt description of basically everything we watch on this show and these two anime are certainly no different. We have an anime about the...

Sometimes there re weeks in which the anime we watch fill us with delight with how funny and bad they re proving to all of us that this whole podcast idea is worth it! This week is the complete opposite unfortunately. However we here at Crappy Anime Showdown are as committed as ever to bring you high quality commentary and G-Dang-it that is exactly what we will do. So prepare to be transported to...
