Crappy Anime Showdown

Season 23 is here and just as bad as ever! I will say this Selection has to be Top 3 fun experiences though. I really hope you all enjoy this episode and prepare for the plunge of excitement that is about to unfold this season!

This is it. This is what! One more episode and we'll have made more episodes of CAS than we ever have before. And you will have watched more as well. This finale brings too good vs too weird. However, neither are great.

Too many Needy Girls. Too many strange references to history. Too many songs. Too man social media posts. This episode is just too much of everything. Except us. Just the right amount of us.

If MARRIAGETOXIN moves on we get to see Bug sensei's wedding. If Witch hat atelier moves on we get to see more actual world building. I want both of these things to happen. Unfortunately, only one anime moves on. These are the hard choices we have to make at CAS. Pour one out with us as we make this tough decision.

This episode features JW finding out that Mark Anthony was in fact a real human being and not just a character in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. We still have no clue as to why those characters exist in Ghost Concert. We also learn that if you have good enough taste buds for beer, then clearly you can be a world renowned sommelier. I hope this leads you to listen to this weeks episode.

Release which Witch? the Witch with the hat of course! Two witches enter, none of us leave! Hooray for hyped up anime about witches I guess. I don't know what else to say except enjoy.

(Sung to the tune of Toxic) Have you seen MARRIAGETOXIN?! Well we have and it honestly was a lot different then we were led to believe in almost every way. And honestly the same can be said about the Banksy wannabe/she-don't-wannabe Eren the Southpaw. All in all a pretty good showing of anime.

They say if you put a milli0n monkeys in a room with a million typewriters, they will eventually write a Tale of Two Cities. Well what happens when you put one male scientist in a room with and average looking female Chimpanzee? You get a Humanzee and an anime called the Darwin Incident. Then we have Needy Girl Overdose, which really should be named Needy Girls, Overdosing because it is a lot dark...

This was probably our hardest selection yet. We really didn't have much to choose from, so much so that we went off script a little and used a different streaming service. So hop on in and buckle up for a wild ride.

VINDICATION!!!! That's right. I absolutely called that the one show should not have moved on as it was just baiting us. Which show you ask? You are going to have to listen to find out on this season's finale!

We are nearing the end of this season and in this semi-final there are two very strange anime. One is about the real side of being a pop idol. The other is about what its like to be cast out of the hero party as a slave and then to become one of the good slave owners. So there you have it. I hope this episode lets you enjoy any of what I just described.

Counting beans and having sex to cure magicule sickness runs rampant in the Bean Counter. While Death games are being played, yet I see no food on any table since episode 1 is what we see in Shiboyugi. Other than that you can expect the same old anime slop.

I have never watched an anime that lied so hard in its premise than I just did with Oedo Fire Slayer. I do not believe they slay a single fire in the first 3 episodes. They just recruit members into the jankiest group of firefighters I have ever seen. Tamon's B-side is about a K-pop Idol dealing with the real life struggles of being famous and we see it through the perspective basically his fan cl...

Ouran High School Host Club meets Vampire Knight vs Yaoi Japan Isekai. That's all there is to say. Enjoy

One of these anime is what I believe Mark Zuckerburg wanted the MetaVerse to be. The other anime is what the world will be in approximately 10 years or so. Both are very depressing. Both were hard to swallow. Both must be talked about.

A horror anime aimed at teaching the point of view of the fear of children goes up against some lady whose power is opposite day. Both anime try really hard to convince you that their story is deeper than it really is. Both anime fall flat on their faces. Let us dig in to which one has the potential to go off the rails.

Another season. Another selection. Another 8 chances for these anime to either disappoint us or wow us. This is the time where we see if there are anime or anime-not. Regardless of the outcome, we will be here. Watching. Waiting. Hoping for something sufferable. And you will b e here too.

Can Scarlett punch her way to the very top, or will the rookie duo of a woman and beastman, topple her at the finish line. We have fisticuffs galore vs very awkward attempts at romance. We are just glad that this is the final, because believe it or not, these two actually deserve to be here. Now let us see if we can finish strong.

It's Amoongus time everybody! AWE delve deeper into the world of an Among Us style game turned anime where all the characters act too much like they are in one without ever acknowledging that fact. And to wash that bitter taste out of our mouths we get to see a woman of noble birth beat the tar out of pretty mush every other noble ion the land. Man is it fun to see her hit people that deserve it.

This week the winter blues have come home to roost. We have finally hit the valley that we seem to hit every season, so we can at least be thankful it took this long. WE get 3 more episodes of a beastiality RomCom as well as 3 more episodes of a man going through a midlife crisis, trying to recapture his youth. Listen to see which one we are forced to move forward with.

Listen. I understand that Gnosia is a game all on its own. It probably has a fanbase and maybe even a following online. However, to me it is just Among Us 2: Anime Bamboozaloo. This anime is really just one long cutscene from Gnosia, as none of the characters are interesting, and they keep bringing up in game topics, such as roles, as if it were a normal topic. Magical princess on the other hand i...

You ever see those memes online where everyone just comments the joke is porn? Well Hands Off is the physical incarnation of those memes. The anime just wants to be porn but is not brave enough or is really catering to horny teenagers I guess. Meanwhile Tojima is a passion project by someone who clearly loves Kamen Rider. The problem is I don't know any of the source material so most of it just go...

These anime both disappoint us is opposite end of the spectrum ways. It hits even harder considering last weeks episode. We get to choose from literal bestiality and an anime so boring I honestly have removed it from memory. I wish both anime could be sent to the shadow realm, but alas, one must move on. Join us in our despair.

I know this may be bold of me to say but I believe May I Ask has a chance to go down in the CAS Hall of Fame. The English Dub of this anime brings everything to life in the best worst ways possible. The other anime is just so meh that it isn't worth mentioning. This episode is peak for sure.

IT's Selection day again! Just in time following a really good finale last season! There are some big hits this season so listen and see if you can guess any!
