In an attempt to cover up the disaster of not passing a budget, the Senate created a "zombie bill" to fund the shooting sports complex. At the same time Sen Steinmetz attempted to bring the run-off election bill to the floor. The people who voted for the zombie voted against the election integrity bill--26 of them.

The Senate JCC and some in the media is claiming there was a deal in place to finish off SF69. Members of the House Joint Conference Committee say that no such deal existed. One big reason that such a deal never existed is that it would be against the joint rules of the legislature. It's worse than you think, they are actually taking money from home owners and giving it to people who didn't earn it. SF40 would stop it but some in the Wyoming Senate is trying to kill the bill to help their liberal allies.

A tax cut is not a benefit. It's the government taking less of your money. Some are claiming SF69 as the "crown jewell" of this legislative session. It's not. Thursday, an amendment was added in the House that goes a long way towards a better solution.
