When we think of Church we traditionally think of the weekend worship experience, but what if Church was so much more? At COVNT we believe that Sunday is just the start of what it means to be the church. In todays teaching we will be discussing how what happens during the week allows us to celebrate God’s goodness on the weekend.

Worship goes far beyond a simple melody or lyric, it truly reaches into the very core of who we are as a people. In todays teaching we will be discussing what it looks like to be a person who worships God from the center of their being with everything they have.

We need to shift the way we view who we are and what we do as it pertains to the mission we are all on. In todays teaching we will be discussing how each one of us is sent as a missionary the moment we come to Christ.

Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you would do long after the mood you said it in has left you. Today we will be talking about how each one of us is called to shoulder the weight of building Jesus’ Church together.

All around us, the culture and media communicate a fog of confusion over questions of gender. For many years now society has been experimenting with the most fundamental realities of human existence. The essence of what it means to be male or female. In today’s teaching we will be exploring what scripture has to say about biblical womanhood.

Are we as husbands living lives worthy of respect? Are we as wives living lives of elegance? In todays teaching we will be discussing what it means to be a biblical man and a biblical woman in the context of marriage.

God has established a clear structure for marriage that if followed and adhered to will give us life giving sanctifying marriages

Scripture teaches that false prophets and teachers are like wolves in sheeps clothing. The real question is, how do we spot them? In today’s teaching we will be talking about how to know if we have fallen prey to a different gospel.

Scripture teaches that God loves a cheerful giver. But what does it mean if the cheerful giver is giving out of a heart that expects something in return? In todays teaching we will be talking about the American Gospels Give To Get Theology.

When we buy into the notion that we are like God in nature and not just image, we buy into a false theology that leads us to a path of death.

Scripture tells us that Christ and heaven are our great reward, but what happens when we preach a theology that demands a return on our eternal investment now? Today we will be talking about the false gospel behind the Word of Faith movement.

The American Gospel wants us to focus on the here and now and not living in light of eternity.

What could and what would happen if the Church of Jesus actually made disciples? What would that look like in our world today? And how would it change us in the process?

We all have come pre-conceived notions of who Jesus was and what He did, but what if our preconceived notions are not all that accurate? Yes, Jesus came to die, yes, Jesus rose again, Yes, Jesus is God incarnate...but Jesus was also the picture of what it means to be above all else a disciple maker. 

We don’t follow Jesus because of what He CAN do for us, we follow Jesus because of what He HAS done for us. We must not allow consumer culture to infiltrate our faith. But, when you are raised in a culture of consumerism that can be harder to recognize than you'd think.

There is a much greater mission that supersedes your own mission for your church. Because long before this church existed, God had a mission. And that mission was to restore all things back to Himself.

We are to show no partiality when it comes to spreading the truth of the gospel, regardless of who we encounter.
