Jesus arrives on the scene 2,000 years ago to save the world from their sin, but His first miracle seems to indicate that it wasn't meant to be His first miracle. The story of Jesus turning the water into wine at the wedding in Cana is the first time His miraculous power is revealed. It also shows how our relationship with Him, is integral to His power working in our lives.

As we continue our series Encounters, we look at a powerful moment when Jesus was entering into His final moments before His crucifixion. There was an opportunity for Jesus to be freed by Pilate, but instead the crowd chose Barabbas. Jesus' encounter with Barabbas teaches the power of His grace and mercy.

Did you know that the Lord commands a blessing? If the Lord says that He commands a blessing in an area of our lives, then we would do well to come into alignment into that. The Lord blesses a people who operate in unity, focused on a single purpose. Cultivating unity in a Church body not only benefits the whole, but it also benefits you as a person. This is how!

The story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well is more than a chance encounter. Jesus was there to meet with her, and to reveal to her heart her need for living water. The lessons from her story directly apply to us today. Are you tired? Are you weary? You may need to hydrate on the living water of Christ.

Peter and his fishing buddies had spent all night fishing and caught nothing. Then Jesus shows up, borrows their boat to teach the crowds, and after He tells them to put back out into the sea. What happens next is a testament to what can happen when we operate in faith, even when what the Lord tells us doesn't make sense.

There a many stories in the Gospels of people who had life-changing encounters with Jesus. Some were full of faith, and some missed an opportunity to engage with the Messiah. Today we look at two stories that remind us the importance of faith. Jesus responds to faith, and He is passing by today. Reach out to Him!

Whether or not you realize it, God has spoken to you before. When you were called to follow Him and give your life to Him, that was God calling. The Lord is speaking, but sometimes it's hard to discern what His voice sounds like. You have one shot at this thing called life. It's rocky at times, but there is a guide waiting for you ready to climb life with you. Our guide is Jesus, and He is here ready to climb with you. Then one day, with Christ, you'll get to the top of the mountain and see the view.

Words shape our attitude, our altitude, and the surrounding atmosphere. They also tell us what is really inside us if we listen close enough. From our hearts come our words, and what we speak over our lives, and into our world, showcases where are heart is. It's either in alignment with God, or it's not. Let's bring our words into alignment today!

One thing could change your perspective, your outcomes, and your life. That one thing is what Mary understood, and that her sister Martha didn't, when Jesus visited their home. This quick story in the Gospel's can teach us a lot about priorities, and what deserves our primary attention.
