Conversations: Special Guests with Preston Scott

In our personal defense segment with J.D. Johnson of the Talon Training Group, we took some email questions and kicked around some fundamentals of firearms and their use. 

While we are a litte over a month away, it's never too early to talk about the things which will impact Florida. Sal Nuzzo, of Consumers Defense, came in to discuss. 

Before taking office, one could argue that Donald Trump is, in many respects, the de facto President of the United States. Preston talked with former U.S. Ambassador Francis Rooney about the Trump Effect. 

The first thing Joe Biden did after being installed as President was killed the Keystone XL Pipeline project. Now, as his days are ending, he continues efforts to dismantle our fossil fuel options. 

Dr Bob McClure, President of the James Madison Institue, covered a lot of ground in this visit. 

Now that we have U.S. Rep. Kat Cammack on twice a month, we can state we have not one, but two "Kat calls" each month. Enjoy one of the most candid members of Congress.

Ira Schoffel of Warchant.com brought some insight to the quick changes at Florida State football, plus what is known about a lawsuit filed against FSU men's basketball coach Leonard Hamilton by six former players.

Lee Williams, TheGunWriter. Substack.com, joined me to cover the things he has been writing about related to the 2nd Amendment (which protects, literally, the rest).

Ray Rodrigues, State University Chancellor, offered a list of reasons why higher ed in the Sunshine State offers students the best option, literally, of any state in the nation. 

One of the deep thinkers in American, Justin Haskins of the Heartland Institute, weighed in on the election results from a national perspective. The question a lot of people are asking is, "Will it matter?"

If you didn't know it Rep Kat Cammack R-FL 3 is a bonafide conservative who does not like shadows and darkness. Consider this quick visit a massive dose of sunlight illuminating the filth inside the beltway.

Sal Nuzzo, Consumers Defense, is our State of Florida go-to for insight and post-election he offered a great analysis of what election day meant to the Sunshine State. 

Florida Governor Ron DeSants joined Preston for a visit on the day before the general election to offer his confidence level on the election itself, Florida's constitutional amendments, and more. 

Col. Gary Howze. Florida Highway Patrol, offered some thoughts on Amendment 3. It makes sense because the Troopers on our roadways wil be dealing with the consequences if this passes ... and so will you. 

Much will be decided on (or around ... maybe) November 5th (I see you Pennsylvania).  Sal Nuzz of Consumers Defense came in to layout all of the issues on the ballot and what will be decided. 

I do not solicit interviews with judicial candidates. The reason? Rules prohibit them from saying much of anything because they have to be impartial and rule based on the law as written and evidence as presented. Historically, I found those sit downs to be problematic. However, Robert Churchill reached out to the show and asked. Doing a show visit was a "No;" a podcast sitdown made more sense. So...

Is there any downside? The answer is, "No" and Preston discussed it with Patrick Chapin, CEO/President of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce.

He is running for re-election and Florida State Senator Corey Simon (longtime friend) stopped by to chat about the most important issues facing the people of Florida's District 3. 

Whether it's a church or synagogue service, perhaps a meeting of the loca civic organization there are things to consider. This month Charlie Strickland, Talon Training Group, returned to The Morning Show and visited with Preston on some important lessons to learn as well as ways to properly train. 

Preston had concerns about the claimed wind ferocity of Hurricane Helene (and subsequently Milton) and a report from the National Weather Service proved his concerns to be valid and on-target. Scott Beekin, the Beeline Blogger, released an in-depth report on the subject of hurriacnes and what the record tells us.
