This is a Comic Patrol / Arc Analysis first! We've gone back to a previously Analyzed (heh) run and picked up where we left off with the second arc: this time it's 2012's Hawkeye Little Hits. So if you're as big of a fan of Fraction and Aja as Coke and Dank are, don't miss this one.

The fourth Marvel/Disney + series also happens to be it's first animated one, and hoo boy is it a doozy. Unpredictable from the start, it is a Marvel series like we have never seen before, and that's pretty awesome. What if Peggy became Captain Carter instead of Steve becoming Captain America? What if T'Challa was Star Lord? What if ZOMBIES? What if you should stop reading this and just listen to...

It's (still) Halloween time, so we are (still) being festive. And what better way to be in the spirit than with a vampire book from DC. There's not much else to say that the title doesn't already tell you: it's vampires and they're in the DC Universe.   It's our first glance, nice pants.

It's a comic about cops protecting Manhattan from ghostly creatures that sneak into our world through some sort of a gate, some of which terrorize the population. It has magical badges, ghost cops, angelic partners, invisible trains and a zombie swat guy. It's also written by Rosario Dawson! The problem is, it has all of that stuff, yet it's only 4 issues long... We get into it so listen along and...

The 2021 DC FanDome was last weekend and we recap juuuuust about everything that was announced there in this episode. From The new Batman trailer to Flash's shiny golden boots, from Aquaman's next adventures to DC's version of Pixar's Cars... We have opinions. Oh boy, do we ever have opinions.

And just like that, the third Disney Plus Marvel series is wrapped, and just like the first two shows, we have plenty to say about it. Some bad, but mostly good! In fact, after we talk about the ups, downs and potential aftermath of Loki, we (of course) give a little ranking of it compared with TFAWS and WandaVision shows.

It's been a long time coming, but we're here: our first inductee into our very own Hall of Fame for comic book writers. We went through almost his entire catalogue of books, and even though our opinions differed on some of them, we were able to agree, in the end, that Mr Alan Moore belongs amongst the legends.

What if Superman was a dick? He was still raised by a couple of country folk in a small town and was played off to be a regular boy instead of an alien with superpowers.. All that same stuff, but was just a dickhead?  That's the premise of Brightburn, and it could have been so much more than it was because that is literally all this movie covers. Bottle caps away!

"We want to suck your blood." If that's the first line that comes to mind when you think of vampires, then you're probably old as HECK. This book, Killadelphia, takes a whole new look at what it means do be a vampire (also what it means to be a cop, whose dad was also a cop), and it is definitely an interesting one. For this Arc Analysis episode, we take it back to nearly 30 years ago, when the USSR was still a thing, and multiple teams of mutants and powered up people did stuff for some sort of reason with hilarious results There are dozens of characters in here, and the average comic book reader has only heard of about 3 of them, tops. And that's what makes this book as fun as it is.

The Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer dropped not too long ago, which reminded us... We still hadn't given the first movie it's own Bottle Cap treatment. So, here we are!  The Bottle Cap Review of 2018's (somehow) massively profitable Venom movie, where we follow Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock as he struggles with an alien parasite that attaches itself to him to fight an evil corporation.  The second...

Yes, it's THAT Leprechaun. The Lionsgate one with the terrible acting and all of it's 6 (!!!) sequels. On this edition or Arc Analysis, where we dive into what makes a comic book story a boom (good) or a bah (bad), we get this absolute classic, but good god, is it not a lucky read.

Three months later and we're back First Glancing with issue #3 of The Last Ronin. We dive into it and all of the happenings contained in this mega-sized issue and you know what? It's still pretty damn good stuff! We'll be following this series as it drops, one issue at a time, independent of our regular episodes, and other supplemental series. So enjoy it or perform seppuku, you disgrace. 

What do you get when you take 4 robots of vastly different classes, stick a mark on each of them and expect them to co-exist together or they all die as a group? A very unique, twisted and hilarious book in the most pleasantly unexpected way. That's a lot of words in one sentence, but listen in and trust us on this one. Read. This. Book.

It's the latest Shadowman relaunch, finally! One of us has a bit of a soft spot for this Valiant property, so with some high hopes as Cullen Bunn takes over to pen the story.  Does the first issue deliver on the expectations of one half of Comic Patrol? Let's take a first glance at it and see.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, I Kill Giants is a movie all about killing giants, and how a sassy grade school student would go about doing while still having to deal with real world issues like bullying, peer pressure and family drama.  Having not read the book before watching this flick, we definitely had some thoughts on how it all goes down. The "DCEU" hasn't had the best track record, but it has a couple gems - a couple winners, if you will. If the premise of people who have sex, freeze time and decide to do criminal-y things doesn't appeal to you, then this Arc Analysis episode isn't for you. But at the same time, if that premise alone doesn't appeal to you at all, then Comic Patrol isn't for you, and live a horribly boring life. I'm sorry that you are weak and won't survive the winter.
