Come in, Have A Seat

A man who wants to lead the orchestra, has to be willing to turn his back to the crowd.

It’s 5oclock somewhere. You are either getting off work or took time off to get off sooner. But can we chat, in this season I’m navigating differently and we had this conversation on a morning flight and I just wanted to come and encourage you.

When you have to protect the things that still need to be hidden, be grateful you still have a valley and mountain to climb

It’s resurrection Sunday… have you ever wondered if we started with the end of the story and told it backwards if ppl would still remain the same way they felt about the Lord?

He’s no longer on the cross, he’s kept away in a borrowed tomb.. have you been there? Did you touch the hem of his garments ?

Poetry editions, it’s a leap year and all I keep going back to is this time four years ago my babies came home for spring break and never went back to school… here we are again with all of the crazy happening right now in our world I wrote these poems then, now they hit different hope you enjoy

Have you ever gotten sick and tired of being sick and tired? Have you ever been surrounded but drowning ? Have you ever allowed yourself to grow and hit a pivotal point in your life and realize that your roots are decaying …. What if the truth is you need to be okay with understanding that people had the chance to change too and they chose not to… so LET THEM GO

How long do we wait to let something, someone, a place, a memory keep us stuck? How much more freeing would it be to let it know you’re simply grateful for it happening for you

Not every pivot is an end, just a moment for you to be reminded and set your focus on this truth that what your connected to will either make you sink or stand … either way settling isn’t an option.

Did you sing that title ?! (Don’t lie) I want the widow to know, if you are in a space where you feel like you’re breathing for the first time, then yes you should feel safe to know that you can breathe for the first time and hold your head up high.

How I refuse to allow the orphans and widows to be left behind with no table to dine and dine and feel refreshed to continue living and helping the family understand how to still shoe up in boundaries

The year where I give up control, and follow. Where I allow the organic, unfiltered unapologetic love I have for my people be seen on display in every area. I admit that I’m ready to love again, but privately wanting y’all to mind ya business and stay out of mine. Risking the reality that I feel like…. Too soon, it’s going to be a good season 🥂 welcome back

Anzi man

The season continues with more good news!! We are having a baby. I say we, because it takes a village to raise children. Our village has always been with us in every season, and my sister isn’t starting this journey without hers.

We are glad to be back; this season is so full of all the things adventure, honesty, and so much more family. I wanted to start with my girl and her first big trip to the big apple for her Christmas/birthday trip. She’s precious and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

I really wanted to hold on to this as long as I could. I wanted to tell you once we relaunched and my family had their copies, but the gratitude that hit me reminded me of how good God is and how faithful he is to complete what he started in you.

… every season comes to an end, and there will always be a goodbye before another hello! Season one has been beautiful, we are spending the rest of 2023 with our family, traveling, creating but most of all being intentional with the hard conversations and plans for 2024. We have you in mind. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year… we will be waiting for you, with a seat at the table

And as season one concludes we all come back to the round table as if it was episode one. We look back. We reflect, I shed tears and the truth… this is just a reflection of what’s coming, some seats are opening and the table isn’t really sure how they feel… ready or not Season 2 is already loading. From our heart to yours, Happy Thanksgiving , and we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy...

We are all here one last time for this season. We have a huge spread in front of us, we have spades going, and we are ready to laugh it out with you one last time… and we have a secret 🤫 we have been keeping and you need to know…
