Come Follow Me- Daily Dose

All things testify of Christ. The passover in its entirety testifies of Christ, and if we have eyes to see, all things in our lives testify of him as well. Nelson- https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2017/04/drawing-the-power-of-jesus-christ-into-our-lives?lang=eng

Is it any wonder that the Savior, who taught so much in symbols, would fill the Old Testament with symbols of His atonement? Today we are going to talk symbolism and how we can apply it to us.

Maybe even more importantly that looking at plagues 3-9 is seeing the repetition of God through His authorized servants! As we approach conference weekend may we look for and be riveted by the law of the witnesses that is invoked through the mouths of God's servants.

Today we discuss God's show of power over the Egyptian gods, and we discuss our natural man tendencies to dismiss the miracles of God as coincidence or luck

As we begin studying the plagues of Egypt we can better see that God is not a God of coincidence, but a God of divine design.

When Moses and Aaron first went before the Pharaoh, Pharaoh told them that he didn't know God. Knowing God means following Him more closely. In the next few attempts we see God showing Pharaoh who He really is.

Today we see God declare Moses as His prophet and Aaron as the spokesman, it makes me wonder, in our day, do we see and truly accept the prophets as God's mouthpiece? Or do we look to other sources to act as God's spokespeople?

Who are the Aarons that God has sent into your life?

Today we talk about God's promise of deliverance and how it applies to us as we go through difficult things.  McKay- https://abn.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2019/04/55mckay?lang=eng&adobe_mc_ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.churchofjesuschrist.org%2Fstudy%2Fgeneral-conference%2F2019%2F04%2F55mckay%3Flang%3Deng&adobe_mc_sdid=SDID%3D4069365C97420104-7F3CA84811A63CE1%7CMCORGID%...

Today we learn from Pharaoh of all people! We learn about his willingness to love and serve despite any differences that might exist.

Joseph again, teaches us about the nature of the Savior when he tells his brothers not to be grieved or angry with themselves because of their past mistakes. The Savior wants us to understand this truth as well, that part of repentance is letting go and forgiving ourselves.

Today we learn about the great atoning sacrifice of the Savior and how His suffering allows us to freely come and partake of His goodness.

Today we talk about Joseph's display of the attribute of forgiveness.

Today we talk about how God expects us to act for ourselves, and about the symbol of Christ that Joseph's own brothers "knew him not."

Just as Joseph was placed on the right hand of Pharaoh to save his people, the Savior sits on the right hand of God so that He can offer us salvation.

We can be good, we can choose right, and that won't spare us from the pains and trials of life.  Hales Quote https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/1983/11/your-sorrow-shall-be-turned-to-joy?lang=eng Monson https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2013/10/i-will-not-fail-thee-nor-forsake-thee?lang=eng

Today we learn from Joseph some principles of overcoming temptation.

Today we look at the comforting doctrine that God can bless those closest to us for our sake.
