Yesterday we talked about the Daughters of Zion and their pride and vanity. Today in chapter 4 the Lord will teach us 3 things we can do to stand strong and firm in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Who are the Daughters of Zion and what is Isaiah talking about here? The answer might surprise you! Lets take a look at a few other scriptures and figure out these daughters and their tinkling sounds! 

Isaiah 2 offers us a beautiful example of Hebrew poetry as Isaiah teaches us about the temple and what time spent there with the Lord can do for us. 

I love this chapter. We get the opportunity to see the depths of the Lord's love for us as He invites us to come and to be healed and cleansed by Him. 

Today we talk about why Isaiah is so important to study and understand, and we discuss a few things that we can do to understand Isaiah better. 

Today we go back a little bit because I just felt strongly that I needed to clarify some meanings in Proverbs 31. I grew up hating verse 10. It didn't sit well, it didn't feel right. But as a young seminary teacher Armed with my Hebrew dictionary this verse changed for me. The word virtuous in this scripture is ONLY translated as virtuous in the Bible when it is speaking about women...Don't get me...

Today we talk about the book of Ecclesiastes. What it is, why it has a different tone than the rest f the Bible and what that can teach us about why it is important to live our lives close to God. 

Today we talk about our responsibility as parents and our responsibility as God's children. 

Today we talk about correction from the Lord. It shouldn't surprise us to receive correction. After all, the Lord has invested everything in us, and he loves us too much to see us fail. 

Today we take a look at the proverbs warning us about pride. What is pride and how do we rid ourselves of it?

What does it mean to fully trust the Lord, and how do we increase that trust? 

You know that old saying, "knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad." Today we talk about the difference between knowledge, wisdom and understanding. 

Today we discuss intentional praise and worship. What do you do to be intentional about your worship? We also talk about our wonderfully made bodies!

Today we talk about the gift it is that life just isn't fair! 

Today it is a about the scriptures and what God can teach us as we spend time with Him there everyday!

Today we talk about absolute truth and the WHY of gospel living.

Yesterday and throughout a lot of the Psalms we have talked about the love and mercy of the Lord. Today we discuss why it is that He can be so merciful on us. 

I love the opportunity we have in the Psalms to witness the true nature of the Lord as a loving and merciful God. 

Today we are reminded in new ways, that the Lord's love and mercy and grace are for ALL of His children. 

Today we talk about the necessity to ask God to increase our abilities. The need that we have to be strengthened and changed by Him. 

Today is kind of just a mixture of verses that I love. I hope you love them too!

"My soul waiteth upon God." Is there something that your soul is waiting on God for? As David waited he praised. What do we do in the wait? 

How has Christ been a shelter, a strong tower, a tabernacle or gathered you to Him?
