Today we talk about Sunday's sessions of conference and something that Isaiah's people misunderstood about the law f the fast. 

Today we talk about conference and I am going to rob Peter to pay Paul by talking about one more verse in last week's block. 

Today, a dive into the Hebrew translations of a few words, and some added insight from President Nelson help us feel the immense love that our Father in Heaven has for His children who have strayed. 

This verse upon first glance might be confusing, it is filled with symbolism. But when we look at how the Savior used this verse to teach the people of the Americas, those symbols come into clear focus and His expectation of us to love and make room for all of His children become clear. 

Why is it so important to understand that Christ was bruised that it says it 3 times? We find the answer in the Garden of Eden. Plus a better understanding of why it pleased God that Christ should suffer. 

Today we talk more about the "awful arithmetic of the atonement," as Elder Maxwell used to call it. And how because of all that He experienced, if we turn to Him, we can be healed.  

Christ is acquainted with grief. Not just grief in general. In a very real, very personal way He is acutely aware of YOUR grief, YOUR sorrows, YOUR pain! He experienced it all so that in your moment of sorrow He can run to you to raise you up and strengthen you! 

Today we talk about the promises to the redeemed. Notice the promise is to the redeemed...not to the perfect. 

Judah believes that the Lord has abandoned them. He gently lets the know that He hasn't sold them of to a creditor, but that they have sold themselves. What beautiful imagery! And it fit so perfectly. The adversary tries to ensnare us, tries to hold us in bondage, but the only way he can do that is if we turn our agency over to him through our sin, and our choices. Today we talk about the servant song, directed to you and I. And we get the reminder that we are ever present in the Lords mind. 

What does it mean to you that the Savior would claim you as His own? How important is it that you can call Him yours? When we know that the Savior claims us as His, and when we know that He is our PERSONAL Savior, our relationship grows.   

Yesterday we talked about waiting on the Lord in faith, today we tal about trusting Him and the promised blessings. 

What does it mean to "wait upon the Lord?" In what ways are you "Waiting" in your life right now? Waiting on the Lord doesn't mean a passive passing of time, but rather a chance to grow and reflect. And we are not expected or required to slap on a happy smile through the waiting process either. It is ok to be sad, it is ok to hurt. Waiting means turning to the Lord to comfort your hurt as you are...

Today we learn from the Lord's example about what real strength is, and when we really understand that, it makes it easier for us to completely trust Him 

In this dualistic prophecy about preparing the way for Christ we get to see John the Baptist, a modern-day prophet...and maybe even ourselves!

Ok, I'll admit it, maybe comparing the Lord to a tag team wrestler is a bit irreverent but I love the image of Him standing on the sideline reaching to us, ready willing and able to save.

Today we get the opportunity to see church history in the Old Testament!

Heavenly Father knew perfectly that our experience on Earth would include mistakes and sins. Because of that He prepared a way to "lay in Zion a stone" and a sure foundation. That by His grace and His enabling power we can little by little, become more like HIm. 

When Isaiah teaches us that the Lord wants to prepare for us a feast of fat things, it is an opportunity for us to reflect on what we feast on. Do we feast upon the things that will nourish and build our souls, or are we content to feast upon that which will never satisfy. 

Today I am going to go just a touch outside the block to emphasize a vital principle of Isaiah. These first chapters in Isaiah can be tough. There is a lot of wickedness a lot of evil, and subsequently a lot of destruction. But the beautiful part about Isaiah is that he ALWAYS points up back to Christ as a source of hope!  

Today we talk about our duty to gather Israel, and the power we have to bind Satan in our lives. We did it once by the power of our testimonies and we can do it again!

Here, in a few different verses we see just how anxiously engaged the Lord is in us. His love for us guides and motivates all He does and if we will have eyes to see, we will see His hand in all things.
